Exactly this.

@LeParisien keeps droning on about naming Levy replacements who would be better. That argument is so fundamentally flawed because football executives aren’t like managers or players. There isn’t a pool of known quantities. We’re not going to replace Levy with another PL executive. Asking fans to name Levy replacements is futile because in the same way we didn’t know who Daniel Levy was before he took over at Spurs, we likely won’t know anything about who any hypothetical replacement is.

I’ve always given Levy his credit. When the stadium opened I posted here that it will forever be his legacy and I still believe that. I actually don’t think he should be replaced because he’s doing a great job on the business side.

The football side is a whole different matter. On that side, he’s failing. He has been for at a minimum the last three years.

I want Levy to step away from the football side. He can continue to run Tottenham Hotspur the company. But he needs to allow someone to come in and run the football side. Given them a budget to work with and let the manager, DoF, youth coaches, recruitment staff etc work within that budget to achieve best results on the pitch.

Levy is not a football man. He may be a football fan but he’s not a football man in the way that Rangnick, Campos, Orta, Paul Mitchell, Michael Edwards, Monchi etc are.

We need a DoF to give the football side some direction. To decide on a philosophy for success that this club is going to pursue and decide on managers, and players to fit within that philosophy. To put a robust recruitment and scouting system in place so that we’re always tracking players that fit within our model. We need a DoF and a manager to manage the squad and identify when players need to move on - an area that we’ve been poor in. Levy cannot do this role because he’s not capable. Not because he’s incompetent but because it’s not his skill set.

Let the DoF run the playing side and Levy can continue do what he does best to grow the company and the brand, secure sponsorships to increase revenue etc etc.
You’re so much more reasonable when you comment rather than anonymously spamming things that aren’t spam.

I think you’ve misunderstood what I am saying. I am asking which football chairmen in the world you would rather have. That is a kind of intuition pump to get people to realise that there is hardly anyone better out there currently doing the job. And if that’s the case then it is fanciful to expect someone to come out of nowhere to do a better job than 99.9% of already existing football chairmen.

As has been said by Le Parisien The whole" Levy must go Supporters " come up with names and perhaps we can all get on board otherwise it is a pointless argument and easy to shut up people like me " just name me the names "

And 'name me names' is a pointless response. Who knows who might be interested. And what's it got to do with it anyway. If people want ENIC out and you disagree, then the reasons for dissatisfaction are what should be discussed not 'name me names', which is basically a tired and well worn device to shut down the discussion. People are unhappy, lots of them and that's OK. And it's OK to want Levy out too.

Who might prospective new owners be? Nobody knows, someone might put a consortium together, some so far unknown squillionaire might suddenly decide to buy us or even the guy who owns Amazon so if you got a name what do you do with it? Tear it to pieces based on complete guesswork that's what and if you did have a name, who's to say they are interested.

Name me names. Fucking ridiculous.

Nope, not having that for a second.

You’ve completely failed to deal with the argument. Pretty entitled point of view. You might be dissatisfied but not all anger is righteous. If you have one of the best chairmen in the world then to want him OUT is not the same thing as having legitimate grievances - its foolishness and it should give you pause for thought.

I won’t repeat myself further, I’ll just quote what I’ve already said:

Not as ridiculous as wanting Him out with nobody to take his place . So if you want him out I have not got a problem if you have a solution .
But just wanting out without someone to take his place is a croc of you know what .

I hear you. Granted there are definitely people of equal skill or better than Daniel Levy in running a football club. But obviously they are all working at other football clubs. Always a risk if Levy leaves and someone else comes in and fucks everything up. Just wish Levy would recognize his limits regarding the football side and hire people to take more control there.

You know I actually agree. The football side does need sorting out but I think Levy will recognise that and make reasonable steps to doing so. Will mistakes be made? Sure. But unless Jesus Christ come down to run the club that’s inevitable.

Im optimistic. We’ll be in an even better position in 5 years than we’ve ever been under ENIC. And no doubt people will continue to gripe ;)

Nicola cortese, Trevor birch and Jeremy peace on the football side.
John burns, Mark Allan, Mike slade on the property side.
He really is not very good. No other ub would employ him.

Many many very accomplished people would take role with the salary on offer.

Someone would buy club if levy and Lewis were willing to accept a mere £1b profit on their investment. But they want more.

Seeing as this time there's no 'croc of shit' in your post, i'll play.......

Is that an unfair request you asked........Yes it is. I've already explained it clearly but i'll try again. Take whoever the richest man in the world is, take the 100 richest men, 500 richest men, whatever, how is anyone supposed to know which are interested and which would be outstanding candidates? 'Name me names' is an impossible requirement, impossible and irrelevant, i'm not going to spend hours researching who may or may not be interested because you still couldn't tell and even if there were clues, it would be guesswork. All we can do is wait to see who our next owners, if any, actually are.

Meanwhile and until then, I want Levy gone. I don't have to come up with names, nobody has to come up with names, wanting him gone is OK, people who agree with that should be able to do so without people trying to shut that down with ridiculous stuff like this.

So yeah, I want Levy gone :D

I want Bezos or Gates to take us over then anybody can be CEO that must fit for some of you but I live in the real world and try to realistic with the people I want and if I did want Levy out I would struggle with a REALISTIC name to take his place .
I am not having a pop at Levy out people just asking a legitimate question it seems the answers are quite funny and comical and thus avoiding giving a realistic answer .

OK it's not going to sink in is it. Someone else can take it up if they can be arsed.
