Well done baldly bollocks, record commercial income with a trophy cabinet that hasn’t been added to in Fourteen Years.
And if some of our players could actually break into a sweat and show some desire in some of the winnable competitions we might have some trophies, Forest away, Middlesboro away , Colchester away and Zagreb away come to mind.

It will indeed be a well done baldy bollocks . This is the culmination of a 15 year plan, and it is some extraordinary feat. The table below shows how Levy has grown our Match-day and Commercial income in comparison to the other top 4 clubs (exc. financially doped Chelsea and Man City). When you consider that our Match-day income should be close to ~£120M this year - bigger than any of the other clubs - it really is an incredible achievement that will not give us a platform for decades of competing at the highest level on the pitch.

haha, so now we've moved from his five year plans to a fifteen year plan ;)
Whatever you think of Levy (and I personally think he as now served his purpose and we need new leadership for on-pitch success) you have to admire the job he has done. When he took over we were never in Europe, and more likely to be involved in a relegation battle than a fight for CL football, and we were miles, absolutely miles behind our PL rivals. Alan Sugar's stewardship of the club turned us into also-rans. There was simply no way we could compete with Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U etc. By buying up all the properties around the ground - a process that started 15 years ago - Levy built us a world class stadium on the original site. That is some fucking achievement in itself. And that is also not even considering we do not have a soulless bowl like most other modern football stadiums. In doing so he has increased match day revenue by 600%. In a period where Man U increased theirs by less than 1%. Surely you can put your anti-Levy feelings aside and give him some kudos for what is really a magnificent achievement?

He has done what many accuse him of in being a property developer and developing out property to some magnificent standard.

We still can't compete at the top though, still probably fifth or sixth richest, still using the same tired excuses.

Why aren't we all in on getting Bellingham? Why have we seemingly dropped out of the race for Gavidol (I can't remember how you spell that), why are we still having the same debates about wages, ambition etc.

Let's be honest, whilst it's nice to celebrate the increase in revenue to us fans it means very little if anything. The team isn't better, the football isn't better. The fact that our manager refuses to sign a new deal until he is happy with our ambition is really telling but still people are desperate to defend an owner that has given us one trophy in twenty years whilst charging the highest prices for everything.

I'm not even angry about it anymore. They aren't going anywhere as they still have more land to buy and properties to develop whilst the future streaming rights deals mean that the clubs value will only go up so there is no point.

We might get lucky and Conte can blackmail them into backing him or we might get Poch back or someone who can achieve some relative success until the board inevitably don't support them but it won't last.

They want / need top four and for the fans to accept the status quo and that's it.

The alternative is likely a Saudi or qatari owner so it's not like that's appealing either and they have priced me out of going so what the fuck do they care if I'm disenchanted or not?

Levy has done many good things and many bad, of course painting him as all things on one side of the argument is silly but I maintain that we will never be more than top four under them and they have no desire to do what's necessary to really push on beyond that

I don't need to put anything aside. I've always given him credit for what he's good at. Always. It's undeniable.

But we're not talking about what he's good at are we :D
