Wow some of the comments in here, people deserve broken ribs and jaws just because they're wums and they support a rival team, seriously?

I would say most of the hate directed towards Piers Morgan has more to do with the fact that he is an odious little man who while as a newspaper editor oversaw the printing of fake photos of British troops abusing prisoners (if the Mirror bothered to check the photos and not accept them on face value they would have discovered they were fake) and phone hacking.

As Lord Leverson said: Morgan is "sufficiently unembarrassed by what was criminal behaviour that he was prepared to joke about it".

Lol ok you stepping up to the crease next? It's different in a net to in a game. In a game you can smash the ball for six and make the bowler look like a twat, it makes it worth taking the hits. In a net you can't hit the ball more than a few yards, the bowler just gets free reign to try and hurt you for an over and it's partly a psychological thing. That and it really really fucking hurts when Brett Lee hit's you with a cricket ball.
I wouldn't mind a go and I wouldn't be running to the leg side like a girl and taking my eye off the ball thats for sure, becuase that is a sure way to get yourself hurt. You are right that this is fast bowling on a different level - I have faced a minor counties quickie bowling at 80 and that was fast enough for me. However, not sure what you mean by being different in and out of the nets - apart from no fielders it is just the same, with the nets replacing the fielders.

He has the ability to actually change my opinion on things, just so i don't have the same one as him.

Not sure about that - he is moving out to leg eveytime the ball comes down and feigning as if he is trying to hit him to off. If he really had balls he would have stood his ground and got into line. The guy is a total knob jockey and it would have been good to see him really mashed up.

Even if he was backing away, Lee was following him with pretty much every delivery, bar the one that hit the stumps.

You don't realise how fast that is until a regular person goes up and tries to bat. How batsman keep cool in that situation is mad, only a second to react. Glad he broke his ribs though!!!! Well done Brett

0.2 of a second to see it and then 0.2 to decide what to do with it

Rather him than me and I've played a lot more cricket and am a much better cricketer than that ****

Lee obviously worked out that aiming at his nuts presented too small a target and settled for inflicting plenty of pain instead. Morgan is SUCH a knob!

Morgan is a complete ****! Shite journalist and wrote and ran shite newspapers. Pity it didn't break 3 ribs and tap his voicemail at the same time.

Always had respect for Lee. Could bowl some seriously hostile overs and always gave it his all. Showed some great sportsmanship in the 2005 Ashes as well.

His key error is taking his eye off the ball. Turning away to protect is the worst thing you can possibly do. Watch the ball all the way and a lot of the times you instinctively bob away from it at shoulder/head height or play a relatively simple backfoot defensive shot to fend it away.

Admittedly I have never faced Brett Lee deliberately no balling, but have faced a couple of quick bowlers in my day - Siddiqui who played for India, Yassir Arrafat who has played county and for Pakistan.

Funny thing about Scottish cricket is that you can very easily end up playing against some great players. Can't think of another sport like that in the world. One bizarre anecdote is that Hussey the former Aussie batsman actually failed to do well up here in a season he pro'd at Feguslie CC lol

Who me ? Haha.

Well yeah the ooze is dripping off me.

If you are a rank rank amateur just keep your eye on the fucking ball. Turn away to leg and hell mend you

Bet he was the snot-faced mouthy kid at school that always got the shit kicked out of him - laces undone, one side of his shirt always hanging out of his trousers, tie undone, mouthing off and annoying everyone and getting gang-stomped every break time.

Little shit.

Now big shit.

What a mug. He took on the bet because he was claiming it was so easy to face fast bowling. So what do you think now Piers? :D
