I think its because you don't see him going into crunching tackles that some people think he has quiet games, no doubt he has some, everyone does, but not as regularly as many people think, he just has a quiet style.
It's also worth remembering that, good as he is, he is still three or four years off his best and that ought to excite the hell out of all of us.

Goes missing in games a lot, offer him 50k plus performance related bonuses to keep him on his toes

He's consistently our highest chance creator, go and look at the stats.

Why is everything you say incorrect or just plain dumb?

I am just shocked that Harry Kane is only getting 50k a week, he could be getting double that at another club, ssshh, nobody tell him....

Familiarity breeds contempt. That is the feeling I get with Spurs fans and Eriksen. His importance to our team should not be underestimated.

He will sign a new contract.

He is a great player and extremely important for Spurs. His stats prove he should be one of our highest earners - I feel those who don't rate him do not realise what a hole we would be left to fill if he were to depart. I hope the board stop pissing around and offer him decent terms to reward him. He seems loyal and has consistently said he can achieve his ambitions with us. We need to be holding on to players like Christian.

He dictates our play- that is the complete opposite of going missing. You probably think 'going missing' equates to not scoring many goals. Just because what he does is more subtle, it doesn't mean he's missing from the game. He's so vital to our team, I'm frankly surprised that there are quite a few Spurs fans that don't rate him highly.

In fairness Dembele dictates the play just as much as Eriksen.

Why are you surprised? There were a load on here that didn't rate Modric because he "doesn't score enough goals". Total lack of understanding what Modric's role was and what he actually did for the team.

going by the chances he created, if Harry gets his wages doubled, so should Eriksen, because most of Kanes goals come through Eriksens build up.

yes he goes quiet, but they all do. the only thing that frustrates me is for someone that was so accurate from free kicks the season before, he struggled last season, and with being pretty accurate with those free kicks, why are his corners not as accurate.

i would still give him a lot better contract though, as he produces enough and was very important to the goals we scored last season that means CL football this coming season

All relative. Johnny Depp was paid $55M up front for Pirates of the Caribbean 5.

When Johnny plays in the forward three for Spurs i will worry, but until then the wife beating prick is welcome to screw Universal Studios. A fuck i do not give.

I think they should be tripled, nay quadrupled, and then we should fire Levy and bring in Peter Risdale to work a few player deals.

By the time the transfer window is closed, the amount of players off the books wages wise, and most probably show a profit on fees, the contract renewal figures rumours going about what Kane and Dier are due, then the likes of Eriksen and Lamela and possibly Lloris will need to be reviewed seriously.

If Eriksen is on 30k, then I believe he is on less than Bentaleb. Though to be totally honest I could of sworn I view a site months back on another topic and his wages were a lot more

Dude the wife beating hasn't been proven and could well be slander so kinda harsh to tag him with that...

I really don't get the Eriksen love in on this board

He is a good player but away from set pieces his game is limited and he goes missing a lot

We should pay him nowhere near 100k a week

And you said before you don't try and be contraversial...? :bored:

We need to sign more competition for his role, for me he doesn't perform at a high enough level consistently and doesn't take enough risks with the ball to create.

I don't think he'd be the most loyal player if some big clubs fluttered their eyelashes his way (although who really is these days?). Honestly think too many use stats to justify his performances, when he could do a lot more. Too often games seem to pass him by a bit for me.

I personally wouldn't be gutted if we sold and replaced tbh.
