Tbh I was expecting him to go to Ajax as they have been tracking him intensely for a while. Burnley is a very random link, at this point tho I could certainly see him going to a PSG and then getting loaned out as his name has grown in the last few months. At least we are interested tho. Very encouraging.
Burnley under Kompany have been making some very canny signings in fairness to them.

Ok just watched three tiktok highlight videos.

Get him in and get him in now. Clearly the next Messi

Wow.

I watched them too. The guy’s living his best life and has a side hustle that is paying his mortgage. His Red flags are Mushroom Omelettes and Māori tattoos.

There was ITK a while ago about someone in the recruitment team (could even have been Gabbanini himself) having a separate brief to look at younger players again. This (and Veliz’s signing) certainly fits with that.

With Ange’s comments on Veliz who is the same age and similar number of senior games under his belt, might this be another one we wouldn’t see much of for the first few months? Is that something we can live with even though it means we are a bit light on the right side?

I haven’t watched the Burnley documentary so not sure if it’s covered in that, but the Burnley ownership are massive on AI / data led recruitment. I think They’ve even developed their own market-leading system

This guy looks incredible. Sign him up! There is value to be found in this market. Buy two like this and if just one comes off you are laughing.

Between this link and Doku, we're targeting exactly the profile of winger I'd hoped we would go after.
Do you mean one that Danny Rose has to Google? 😜

In all seriousness, I'm happy with us returning to signing young prospects. Here's why:

Even when we were considered to be a "selling club", our biggest assets (on the pitch, as well as in terms of transfer value) were frequently young signings.
When we almost disrupted the "big four" under Jol, we had the youngest squad in the PL (average age was 23, down from 29 only a couple of seasons earlier).
When we finally broke into the top four under Redknapp, 7/11 of our starting XI were signed at 23 or younger.
Of the infamous "Magnificent Seven", the two youngest (Eriksen & Lamela) were the best.
Of our starting XI that finished 2nd under Poch, I believe 7/11 were signed at 23 or younger, 1/11 was an academy graduate and 3/11 were signed at 24-26 (our squad also included other academy graduates and young signings who made significant contributions).
Our performances on the pitch have declined since we attempted to strengthen the team with more "proven" signings.
Our success rate with big money signings has been lower than our success rate with cheaper signings...and hasn't left us with as much cash-flow to "buy twice" if needed.

Confused and excited by @Now it's Spursonal ’s rock hard stiffy. Literally a raging stiffy for this unknown player from Greenland.
Final comment I'll make talking about Nuamah tonight, as I feel like I'm probably bombarding the chat a bit due to my excitement.

But Nordsjaelland in recent years have been absolute machines in finding talent from Africa, and in particular 1v1 monsters. Obviously there's their most noted in Mohammed Kudus at Ajax who I'm sure everyone is aware of.

Then there's Kamaldeen Sulemana at Southampton who was super impressive in the back end of last season.

And then there's Simon Adingra who just scored at the weekend for Brighton and is poised to be their new 'breakout player from nowhere' this season.

But, purely in my opinion only, Nuamah has been the most impressive out of all of them when it comes to their time spent at Nordsjaelland.

@Archibald-CPH I believe is actually a season-ticket holder at the club, and so could provide a much better review of him than I ever could.

Never heard of this guy before yesterday, but if we can get him, Tommy Svindal Larsen and Ibrahima Bakayoko I genuinely think we can challenge for the title.

The owners of the club also own the the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana which is arguably the best youth academy in all of Africa. They get first dibs on all the top prospects out of the academy.

Seems to play on the left more. Looks more comfortable on the left. Looks good but he wants to cut inside a lot.

Fuck yes. This link and Doku in the same day. Obviously we’ll see what happens but it appears we are after exactly the kind of winger we need!
