hate that donkey...thinks he's it...!!!
etherington's match was decided inside the first 10 mins; if he didn't beat his man, or if he received a strong tackle, he'd shy away and pussy about for the rest of the game. inconsistent? err, yes. top moment? equalizer at everton in the 2-2 opening day draw in 02/03
Cheers mate!:wink:Richards signed for £8m in summer 2001. Scored on his debut aganst Mank U & retired in March 2005.
Cheers mate!
yeah so I gess are 3 CD would have been,
Richards,King and Perry, no?
wasn't acimovic's miss against fulham, could be wrong, but the ball did "bobble up" just beforehand, he was never given a proper run in his favoured position, looked ok at times tho. again with bunji, not played in favoured position, dependable player just not spectacular, but thats ok, every team needs those players, they become the backbone given time.
etherington was nicknamed "blind alley" for obvious reasons, didn't he give the wnaker sign to the fans one time or am i mixing him up with another, tho he did slag us off as soon as he signed for the spam.
hoddle, greatest player i've seen in a spurs shirt, sheer poetry in motion, but terrible manager, especially his man management, brought rebrov on from the bench once and then subbed him a little later on, tho he was a good england manager and bar beckhams inexperience could possibly have done it
They were truly horrid times. Looking back, I cannot for the life of me understand how I thought we had a decent team. Just shows how far we came under Jol and Levy.
But as for Etherington. He can't cross...
Bunjy, Richards, Rebrov, acimovic, jackson, zamora Would get nowhere near the first 16 these days.
Richards was actually fairly decent, but then he had some life/career threatening injury like ziege and we lost them both.
