i think Parker, Livermore and Huddlestone are not the standard we require so we need a top quality dm who can eithe partner Sandro, provide good competition for Sandro, play instead of Sandro. This guy could be it. The price, the age, the quality is right up Levys street

Def looks like we want to strenghten in that position, just been re-linked to that Belgian from Cagliari with the rather long name, similar position and age for 10mil.

It'll be Arseanal or PSG, in my opinion. Arseanal have been linked with him for ages (type Capoue into google and before you've even finished typing the name, Google suggests "Capoue Arseanal").. Master Splinter seems to have the magic touch when it comes to getting French players in, is the guy any good?

He is good, and I have been a huge fan of his, when he came through the ranks at Toulouse he looked like being the real deal. Think Hudd but with movement. Or Carrick.

He gets his foot in to a tackle, is comfortable on the ball, can pass long and short and can use both feet.

Toulouse played him in a 4141, as the deep lying playmaker, and he generally excelled in this role, despite being very young, he was at the hub of everything good, and Toulouse play a possession game. He even bursts forwards and gets himself on the end of things occasionally.

But I have to say, this season he's been OK, but looked a little bit lethargic at times. A bit like his heart wasn't in it. I'm not sure if that was because all the decent players around him were being sold off and he was pissed off to be left behind in a team that started to struggle a bit, or the lack of decent players around him made it harder for him.

I'm not 100% that he's got what it takes to be a fixture in a top EPL team, but he has some good qualities and wouldn't be disappointed if he was brought in or surprised if he stepped up and fulfilled the potential he showed up to now.

he needs to play centrally though. As one of a "2" in a 4231, or in the centre of a 433. There's no playing him anywhere else.

whoscored rated him as the 2nd best player in ligue 1 last season(behind ibrahimovich).

he played 34 times, 29 as a dm and 5 as a cb. 7 goals, 3 assists, 7 yellows, 1 red

Haha I love an out of the blue signing. :D

Well if that's right, Parker and Hudd are definitely gone IMO.

Shows AVB wants real strength in depth in midfield, so he can rotate without weakening the side too much.

He'll still be wanting to go as far as we can in the Europa.

I'm confused. He may be good but we are already stacked with mids like him. If we were targeting another cm, you'd think he'd be the small creatiive type, like Erikson.

Just doesnt make any sense to me tbh

EDIT: Unless he's going to be CB, can he?
