Thought I should probably bump this just because I felt sorry for it. Based on the first games of these two, this could be an absolute thriller....if you watch Midsomer Murders instead.

Stil...quite an important game.

Well, I'm looking forward to it. I think the Czechs will be thinking there's a possible Spankfest here.

I put Rosicky in my fantasy team just togive myself the slightest motivation to watch this game.

The loss to greeks on silver goal rule (who the hell ever think it was a good idea?) in Euro 2004 semifinal still hurts. We had fantastic team and played the best football in Europe, but it just wasn't our day :(

Oh and former Spurs hero Limbersky is starting tonight. I don't remember to know if it's true but apparently Jol compared hiim to Nedved once. :D

I see the Czechs have moved Kadlec, who was at fault for pretty much everything against Russia, from left back to central defence.

Good plan Czech-faces. When a player can't defend it's always best to put him at centre back.

He played there most of the qualifiying round and was good. You don't condemn player after one bad game. Unless it's Baros.

I bow to your superior (considerably superior I suspect) judgment, but Kadlec's positioning in the first game was comical and that isn't exactly promising for a centre back. Having said that, he'll be up against the fearsome Georgios Samaras tonight so he'll probably be okay.

Do you not have any strikers other than Baros? He's a terrible option as a lone striker.

Good luck the Czechs. The sooner Greece are on a plane home the better.

He had instructions to come inside and help the centre backs, which Russia read and exploited over and over again. He was also training exclusively at centre back whole camp and Bilek told him he will start at LB the day of the match, which probably didn't help. He's also one of our players that know when they were crap and I think he will be ok today. Howerer I would be happier with him at his natural position and Suchy at centre back.

We have Pekhart and Necid, both being better options as lone strikers. But for unknown reason Bilek is unable to give them proper chance, even though Baros has been crap for few years now.
