How many of the named clubs have American owners (or big sponsors/look under a few stones and trip over ownership with an offshore bank account)
Worst thing is as a Founding Club we can't get relegated, so we won't even have that excitement to hold on to. Imagine finishing bottom of the Super League literally every season
Its reality for any league outside top 5. One team Cl ,one EL , maybe cup and playoff stages. Not to mention, how dull will the PL be now that teams don't have to finish high to qualify? If you take this season as an example, there are 6 or 7 games left to play and the teams between 3rd to 13th have literally nothing to play for.
It'll be like the 90s again only the teams that beat Spurs will be more glamorous.Worst thing is as a Founding Club we can't get relegated, so we won't even have that excitement to hold on to. Imagine finishing bottom of the Super League literally every season
The PL threats feel a bit like brinkmanship. Threaten to kick them out, but if they're offered enough of a cut, they'll be allowed to stay.
Top flight football is over for me regardless with this.
