We were top of the league for 14 minutes that entire season.

I could also argue that in Kante and Mahrez, two players who’ve become key parts of great sides since, as well as Vardy and Schmeichel who remained top class for many years that we didn’t have a much better side. We were regularly playing Kevin Wimmer, Tom Carroll and Clinton N’Jie.
Yeah but what a 14 minutes that was.?

His commitment to the club is 100% this season, even after surgery he tried to return quicker than the Dr and specialists advised. He knows how important he is to the team and his staff and wants to be part of this everyday.
Yes he has had a lot happen personally over 12months but his commitment is at THFC.
Now for my Opinion and this is only opinion I think he stays next year and signs a new deal. But not until he is 100% with his health. I also think Kane will sign too for what it’s worth.
Him and FP are so close and love working together. His relationship with DL is also as good but obviously he wants more, but that is what great coaches always want.

I think it partially depends on paratici and if he stays at the club.

I don’t think it’s complete fantasy for him to have a sabbatical, sign a new contract and start again next season. I think it’s all on the table.

Inter have a backline of Skrinair, De Virj and Bastoni. As for Conte he has won mutiple titles including a title in the prem with Chelsea. He is a proven winner and yet like Jose not with us. We could get Klopp and Pep and still fail. The common denominator isn’t the managers.
He was backed according to you by everyone except us fair enough so why did he leave ??‍♂️ if he was extremely happy ??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️

Because they told him they had to start selling his top players to balance the books.

I just do not understand how everyone defends poch for not winning the league when Leicester won it.
We only had Europa league, and it’s not like we went deep in that competition.
We had a better side and squad then Leicester, but he lost key games home and away against Leicester and that pivotal chelsea match at home.
I would put money on conte winning the league that season if he had that spurs side.
Sorry, can you remind me of their Champions League performance that year?

Yes, so saying inter elite club compare to us isn’t correct. Conte isnt a naive young manager let’s be honest about it he knew exactly what he let himself into. He is stubborn, he is set in his ways and the way and his football isn’t progressive. Besides we all fans are fickle on twitter Liverpool fans want Kloop gone ??? but it is the usual cry “ he isn’t backed” . Poro according to ppl on here is elite player , well I didn’t see any glimpse of it. Am I naive woman think price tag isn’t always sign of backing but quality of player is. But that is me ?

Again. Same as the myth re: Chelsea and Conte supposedly wanting Danny Drinkwater etc. This is all on record. Don’t people read anymore?

Never bothered the read about Chelsea not in the past or will not in the future, if you refer to my comment I don’t categories backing by price tag I categorise backing by quality of player. Price tag is red herring not always work where some fans look down the nose in player who doesn’t cost over 50 million.

My wife would be delighted if I lasted 14 mins.

Can you remind me of ours? We were in Europa and got knocked out in round of 16.
So quite a few 2 games per week till into February. And your point?

Your love of Conte and his antiquated tactics is admirable.
Your dissing of Poch is annoying.
I am not saying Poch is the answer, but give over mate.

I was responding to your post re: why he left Inter. Don’t you read about them either? Also. The best players tend to cost the most money. Unless your scouting is unusually prescient or just plain lucky.

If does sign a new deal, are we expecting a completely different style of play, because I think that is highly doubtful. It will be a repeat and rinse of the last 18 months.

I get what you're saying but we drew with Leicester away, conceded a minute after going 1 up, and we drew with Chelsea twice that season too. The West Brom fixtures were more of a travesty.

Losing at home to Leicester was a killer though as that would have really made a difference.

The other thing and think was difficult for us was playing after Leicester every week bar the home NLD where Kane scored THAT goal. That was just shit from the league and TV companies and said everything about who they wanted to win it tbh. Still grates on me.
Also it was the season the referees did nothing about the deliberate grappling applied by Leicester in both penalty areas. The following season they clamped down on it and Leicester were shit the following year. Also the deliberate time wasting when they were in the lead. Especially by their goalkeeper . Their game at WHL with us still sticks in my guts.

I cannot remember a game where Leicester blew teams away with scintillating football.

Equally many fail, don’t think Kulu, Bentancur or even Romero were lucky. As for Poro we will see

They had Huth and Morgan regularly grappling opponents to the ground as far as I can remember.

I'm sure all the so-called big six had a better squad than Leicester thay year.

No one really speaks of Leicester that much. Odd since they have won a PL in recent memory. They’re still just classed as an also ran… ??‍♂️

of course we will see a different style of play or at least one that is positive and tries to impose itself on the opposition - Conte is the only manager in the premier league playing his style of outdated soulless football

Poch did atleast make us think we could actually win a league title. Now its more like we can get top 4 if we are lucky ?
