Press conference at 1.30 today I think. Let’s see him row back yet again from his previous comments. Getting a bit tiresome already him having to do it every week.

At some point you have to start wondering what the players are thinking.

How is this a conspiracy theory?

How is it not?

Suggesting that Conte has signed a multi-million-pound contract without doing his own due diligence and was lied to by every single person involved that he spoke to at the club is conspiracy level shit mate.

Explain to me how he was duped, fooled, tricked into becoming our manager and show me some kind of evidence.... then I might start to understand how and why that would happen otherwise it is just some fantasy that fans say to make themselves feel better after we lose.

Let's be very very real here. IF Conte had not paid attention to the last 3 years of our football club and somehow believed he was getting a squad better than what he expected, that is on him.

Yes I agree. We’re gonna lose plenty more games this season with the amount of games left. He can’t keep going on like after every loss. Invites press to put pressure on all the time about whether he feels he should leave. I can’t see us winning either on sat so god knows what he will be like after that.

we really are the club that media does piss takes on the most! Conte says some stuff in the immediate aftermath of a painful defeat and now there is rife speculation from all corners including someone who is not really his agent! You couldn't make this shit up - the media in the UK needs to be marched to a galley & hung one by one for their complicity in de-stabilizing this club

I suspect what has probably happened is that he’s completely fed up answering questions about his future week after week and ever since he was appointed. And the essence of this came out in his comments after the game on Wednesday. He’s been questioned about it repeatedly and it isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that he was channeling that with his responses the the questions.

I’ve never know a manager’s loyalty and dedication to a new job be questioned weekly like it has been with Conte. It has always been a concern it would undermine him and maybe he’s let it get to him. It wouldn’t be a surprise, the media have had it in for his relationship with us from the start. They won’t be happy until they force him out of the job.

I'm finding it hugely entertaining and any player here worth his salt should be thinking: "shape up or I'm being shipped out"

He is a world class manager but results & performances have not shown that with us. His childish ranting after games is very tiring and very very unhelpful. That sort of behaviour can be tolerated if he is being successful (and I get that he is much less likely to rant about things when winning but he has shown at inter and Chelsea even when winning he will still find things to rant about) but given our poor return he simply needs to shut up and do the job he's paid to do which is improve the players and win football matches.
Of course I want him to stay and hope he can achieve things here but I'm already pretty tired listening to his shite as well. He is as culpable as anyone for our poor performances and the losses as he is wedded to a system that we don't have the players to do it properly. The club has backed him hugely (getting rid of Dele, Ndombele and lo Celso in the one window was huge backing and show of faith in him) but he has yet to repay that show of faith so I hope he learns to dial it down and do the job he was employed to do. If he can't do that then as humiliating as it would be for him and club he should go in the summer.

Agreed. I listened to the interview - again it was nothing like what the media are making it out to be.

World class managers get more out of limited players and make more out of less.

At the moment Conte has two of the best attackers in the PL and is making us look like a relegation side. That’a not a world class manager.

Those regarded as world class generally have everything handed to them on a plate. I assume that is our plan too but we haven't had the time to implement it yet. I think Conte's outbursts are just his way of keeping the pressure on because you can bet your life Paratici is working right now on deals for the Summer.

I am struggling to think of a word-class manager that has gone to manage a side in a situation like ours and polish the turd as prolifically as you are making out. Can you name 3 situations where that has happened?

Klopps first 3/4's of a season at Liverpool they ended up finishing 8th and lost

2-1 to palace
2-0 to Newcastle
2-0 to west ham
3-0 to Watford
3-2 to Southampton
3-1 to Swansea

He also just about beat Norwich 5-4 and drew twice with West Brom and once with Sunderland.

Things take time.

I don't agree with this take.

What Conte did after the game on Wednesday was unprecedented and unprofessional, he brought this shit on us.

Not sure I can go along with this mate. Are Dyche, Potter, howe etc World class? Getting blood from stones?

Pep is considered world class yet has world class players and has never coached a 'shit' team.

There is a problem at spurs that runs deeper than the players on.the pitch. An organisational culture, mindset, malaise that he needs time to break. Its also the absolutely atrocious recruitment of recent years that can't be undone instantly. They've made a start but this isn't happening quickly.

There is literally no patience in sport anymore. I've been as frustrated as the next person with the recent results, but the weaknesses aren't anything conte can change without wholesale moves. As he said it takes time.to impart a winning mentality to those who don't already have it.

I think a more prudent question, that cannot be answered, is where would this team be now, if we'd stuck with nuno? My guesses are, even lower in the table.

Let's not forget chances created stats and the woeful way spurs played at the start of the season.

Add into the mix that bad news sells, creates clicks or whatever, in all walks of life. Media sources are desperate to twist his words, translations and reputation to fit a certain narrative. If he failed at spurs it would make wonderful, click generating articles.

Conte himself, has openly had a go at the way many of the 'journalists' try to create division between him.and the board. Which he has pointed ot doesn't exist because he tells levy straight.

Conte isn't absolved of blame for some of the tactics, approaches to games etc but the rot goes all the way up.

Sorry, observances done!.
