Steffan Freund is assistant to Nigeria coach Berti Vogts

Erik Thorsvedt currently works as an expert commentator/pundit on Canal+ and is also a TV host on the Royal League (Scandanavian club cup) matches. He is also the coach of Tufte IL, a team created for the reality-TV show Heia Tufte!, also aired on TVNorge.

Ramon Vega opened a soccer school, calling it "Ramon Vega's Soccer School". The first opened in Marbella, Spain. This was followed by another, "Total Soccer" based inWest Yorkshire, England. (No wonder Leeds United are in such trouble)

Bumping the dead here, but came across this video of a really quite tipsy Nicola Berti bigging up Spurs on Italian tv before the Juve match:

It’s in Italian, shows a few of his goals but he’s clearly full of vino, cheeky little charmer!!

I'm liking the trend of modern players becoming managers. They don't need it financially and they could find easier ways to amuse themselves, Lampard was well on his way up punditry easy street, but they really want to be involved.

Plus it's funny when Henry and Neville prove how easy it is to completely f@ck it all up if you go in with that pundit mindset

'90s legend Kevin Scott is now a driving instructor in Middlesbrough, following a brief, unnoteworthy spell coaching. He says he actually gets a lot of satisfaction out of helping people pass their tests, in the Newcastle programme from our away game last year.

Is either person in that picture actually Mabizela?

Yeah, that's definitely him in the pic on the left, the squad number is correct, that was his one and only appearance during the 2004-05 season (made a few appearances from the bench during 2003-04) , we cancelled his contract about a week after that game.

Good luck to Woodgate. Loved him as a player. Those injuries really stopped him being the best of that crop of centre halves of that era. He was unbelievable at Newcastle. Him and Ledley together were imperious.
