I'm off my box with excitement. I can't wait to get my life back. Not particularly optimistic about it at the moment, but maybe that's a good thing? Certainly looking forward to the night out in Newcastle afterwards! :p

I'm dreading it to be honest. Dreading the smug goons giving it large again as they do every year.

Nope, the season starts to season for me. I'd rather have a season of Olympics right now/just sunshine.. I don't like football in the summer, I like having the chance to get outdoors and do something different :) I also feel like we could go on a downward curve because of missing out on CL and losing luka

After a few signings and our trip to Newcastle I shall no doubt not be able to wait for the season to properly kick in. COYS!

Also this thread needs a poll, it's so obvious, it makes me want to use big font

After the Olympics I have no love for football. I have witnessed what proper sport is about: sportsmanship, sacrifices, dedication and just an desire to try your very hardest to win. Only on very rare occasions do any of these things find their way into football now; football is just a greedy glamour contest and that makes me sad. At the moment I don't care who we sign, I don't care if we lose to Newcastle and I don't care if we finish in the bottom half of the table.

Hopefully this will all change once the season kicks off this weekend, but for the moment i'm scared.

Someone, please help me!!

Think it's going to be an absolute fucking disaster to be honest.

I'm very worried about it and each day that passes without us signing a striker and resolving Modric makes me more anxious.

Given that the media don't seem to like us much, coupled like Harry being sacked and the apparent dislike of ABV, getting off to a good start never seemed so necessary.

As it is, we might be starting with our squad not fully assembled. Potential early season defeats and we'll be reliving October 2008 again.

Very excited, but not to confident.
Our squad seems a little messy atm, with some situations like a proper striker/Modric saga dragging on for far to long.

On a scale of 1-10 I'm probably about number 5 with excitement.

following that criteria I would have to say 5 or 6 also

Really hoping we can put the Modric saga to bed and sign a few forwards, then it would be a 7 or 8

What makes me that optimistic is the fact Newcastle have so many out for the opening game and after that we have a very good run on paper, if we build up a head of speed and the players and head coach start getting confident who knows what could happen.

I'd like to think they will have players out, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Not as much as I'd hoped. Things moved so fast with AVB, GS and JV all coming in so close together and there was lots of talk of Moutinho, Lloris and a striker, but it's not moved on much since then and I'm a bit worried we're not ready. That and the Olympics has made me totally forget football.

We need a good start to keep the hacks off AVB's back

Football is shit now.

I can sense the apathy. No one really gives a shit.

After 2 weeks of proper sport football really needs to look itself in the mirror and it needs change.

My feeling about Modric sums it all up for me. When I compare it to when Sheringham left the club in 98 I was absolutely gutted. I can honestly say I couldn't give a rats arse whether Modric stays or goes.

I have never felt this way before a season I really don't care but what it's worth think Spurs will finish will finish no higher than 6th with the current set up and dont rate our new manager at all.

Actually to show how much I have been looking forward to the new season... when is our first game? Saturday/Sunday, and what time?

Being serious

Well thanks for coming onto a football forum and sharing that with us all....maybe you need some time out to find the love again?

30 years should do it.
