No matter the result, everton still shocked me today. Like they were bad. I knew they werent playing well this year, but i havent really watched them much. So i had no clue just how bad it's gotten. The age is showing in their side. Im not sure how they plan on shipping some of them out to clear up the wage bill and to fund moves, but they need to do something. Need to get younger and get more quality. Thing is, i dont think they dont have the cash to do it after the Lukaku purchase and I have no clue how their academy is.
I'll tell you what though, i'd for sure try to ship kaboul there. And lennon as they also need pace. Not sure if they have 8-10m though to get both done.

Everton did look bad, really bad. They looked eerily similar to us last year to my eyes: bereft of ideas, clueless in where each other were, and some really lackluster care of the ball.
I don't think age is their problem though as a result. Just as with us, mentality IMO is the culprit. Is also the only way one can explain their decline in efficiency between last year and this year, because cotDAMN is it a huge difference. They were incredibly entertaining to watch last year, and now with almost the exact same players they can't pick out a pass even between central midfielders. Just too much decline within one year for me to believe it's entirely age-induced. Cartilage doesn't fall apart that quickly.
But whatever the fuck is going on, they've got to fix it. Got to find something to get them to believe again, and absolutely need McCarthy to get back ASAP.
