Yeah, but for these cup matches I tend to lean with the logic that the increased numbers of games for thin squads such as West Hams can cause more harm than good, especially when near us in the table.

Agreed. Things are what they are, and Arse and Chels have much more money than we do and are capable of attracting better players on average than we can. We're going to lose to them at times.
