Think it’s also interesting to see the positions that have very few links to players….. seems quite clear where the focus is…..

Paratici and Conte are very good, but that's a lot of players to bring in and get comfortable in the system before the new season.

But that list would make a hell of a strong squad (edited to add this clarification that I was making a joke about brining in everyone in the original post. Admittedly, they don't always land. )

There are some mitigating factors in this:

1) A lot of our current key players are now well acclimatised into the system.
2) Perisic and (hopefully) Eriksen both have first hand experience of playing for Conte.
3) Bentancur and Kulusevski settled really quickly. I think that's testament to Conte and his teams methods.
4) We seem to be trying very hard to get the players in for the start of preseason for this exact reason.

I don't know about everyone else but I'm losing track of who we're linked with in each position so thought it'd be useful to start putting this together.

The idea is we list each position and the players we've been linked to in that position.

I'll make a start but could do with everyone's help. Post a player we've been linked to and their position.

Rob great idea, is it worth adding players we have bought in the positions and putting them in bold?

Also we seem to be targeting players who are specifically suited to Conte’s system, which also should reduce the bedding in time. Eg, Spence is used to playing at RWB alongside a back 3, rather than as a RB in a back 4, Bastoni (albeit maybe too late now) but used to Conte’s system, Richarlison used to playing in a front three.

This is really appreciated and gives a very good overview of what might be a hectic window. A proposal: some sort of marking of the link credibility. I know it could easily turn in to a discussion on tiers/who is credible and not, so perhaps just a * next to anything where we have ITK on SC on the link - or a similar marking for all the sources allowed in the ITK thread?

Might also be that we bought intelligent players
