A reminder to all fans, both home and away, that foul, abusive, homophobic or racist language will not be tolerated at White Hart Lane.

The Club will take action against anyone heard using such language.
Stewards will again wear headcams at Thursday night's match against Chelsea and will adopt a zero-tolerance policy.

Once again, we call upon our fans to behave in a manner which does not bring the Club into disrepute and of which we can be proud.

Texting Service - 07537 404 821

If you hear anyone within White Hart Lane using foul, abusive, homophobic or racist language please report this to the Club by texting the Control Room on the Texting Service number above - this number can also be found in Thursday night's official matchday programme.

The Texting Service has been used to good effect in enabling us to ban people for committing offences on matchdays.

You do not have to put up with mindless supporters who are intent on ruining your day, so use the system, report the individuals and let us take it from there.

For our staff, it is better to monitor the problem as it is happening as we can view the area of concern on CCTV and deal with everything quickly.
Spurs against discrimination
We do not tolerate discrimination of any sort at the Club, on the pitch or in the stands.

If you experience any form of discrimination, help us to eliminate it from football by reporting it - text us as above or email us at [email protected] - we will treat your correspondence in strictest confidence.

We have a fantastic atmosphere at the Lane and by working together we can prevent the small minority ruining it for everyone.

They know it's going to be messy tomorrow night.....

I think they should provide a number which fans can use to vocalise all of their foul and abusive language so that they have it out of their system before a game.

Maybe that's what that mobile number is really for...

I think if the fans sing "Terry, we're not calling you a ****...Terry, Terry you're (not) a ****" we should be fine.

Are they getting confused?
If we abuse Terry who is a racist are they saying that is racist abuse?

If they have a zero tolerance policy why hasn't Terry been banned from the lane?

Looks like my scarf will be out for tomorrows game then, fits nicely around the mouth to prevent these camera's picking up the smallest of things where they will react massively to put something in the press to show they're reacting!

Maybe they are also concerned about Foy being 4th official for this game tomorrow night

He may also be a target

I generally won't use the word, but am fairly certain I'll end up calling Terry / Foy and maybe even Webb (pre-empting decisions) a ***** at various points tomorrow

Ah well, can't fight nature

So if we call Terry a nasty cheating scumbag, will we be discriminating against nasty people, cheats and scumbags

The only problem with giving Terry abuse is that he's the sort of bloke who will probably get off on it.

They should have a John Terry behaviour reminder. We all know it's pretty much definitely aimed mainly at him.

It's a disturbing overreaction to equip stewards with headcams at White Hart Lane. Football fans' civil liberties are restricted enough

While it was a bit tongue in cheek it's a serious point, if you or I were to be caught saying the things Suarez said, and Terry's alleged to have said, we would be banned at the very least for a few years. If we were to throw something at the players we would most probably get banned for life from all football stadia while Drogba and Carragher both simply got a three game ban.

The clubs can't profess to have a zero tolerance policy on these issues and then exempt players from them, that's not zero tolerance, the fact that players aren't subject to the same rules and punishments as fans is in itself a form of discrimination.

That's actually just a little bit shocking.

One of my nephews got banned for having a heated, but friendly, argument with his best mate - on a steward's say-so that they were fighting.

Can you imagine if clubs could ban other teams players? Chelsea would probably ban Modric because of a what they saw as a conflict of interests, and Liverpool would ban half our players because it would be too hard for Suarez to keep his mouth shut.
