Still think we should sell Llorente in exchange for batshuyai.

Although, if Llorente had to leave, I’d be happy to Giroud, I think he’s massively under rated and under appreciated at arsenal and much better than Llorente.

Sounds easy doesn’t it? Batshuyai isn’t a piece of meat. Why would he swap Chelsea’s bench for ours and probably a reduction in wages?

And Giroud to us? I don’t need to explain to you why that’s not going to happen, even though I agree with you that’s he’s underrated.

Still don’t see why people are happy for Llorente to leave with no replacement?

We all agree he has been crap, but one injury to Son and we will have one striker in the squad with 3 competitions to fight for.

And that’s before you even take into account that Son isn’t even a true CF and is better played elsewhere.

I very much doubt we care about what suits Chelsea. If they want our player, compromise will have to play a part somewhere

Doesn't work like that does it. Chelsea will go elsewhere, we'll still have Llorente.

Looks to me as if the Goat's ITK from last night now needs to be amended to read:

"Llllorente possiblly lleaving if alll transfers from other cllubs fallll into pllace quicklly before the transfer window clloses."

ITK late last night he might leave. Chelsea possible destination, although just speculation and seems to be linked to the PEA to Arse transfer.

Rumour we asked for Batshuyi in exchange for Llorente, but understandably Bat not keen.

Most people using the logical part of their brain think this means a replacement if Llorente leaves, but conveniently forgetting this is Spurs we’re talking about.

There have been suggestions that Llorente could be leaving with chelsea the rumoured destination. Nobody seems to really understand why we would sell to them though. I'm personally not getting it either but that makes the situation even more intriguing.

So in short you know as much as (most of) us.

I think nobody wants to sell Llorente without a replacement.

That is 1 thing all spurs fans agree on.

Careful with those Ls. With that many this site will be on a proper witch hunt to sell even the custodial staff with Ls in their name.

In my opinion we'd be crazy to let him go to Chelsea while there remains the possibility of us catching them. He's been ineffectual for us but we know from his time at Swansea that he is capable of scoring goals in this league. We'd be potentially strengthening a direct rival which makes no sense to me whatsoever. Why help them out?

I wouldn't say happy but I can see the logic of using Son up front with Moura on the wing. I'd be happier if we brought in a young, promising striker but there is only a day left in this window so it looks unlikely.

I think we're better off without Llorente, replacement or not lined up. He's a spent player blocking the bench for someone that can actually run. If we get our money back then snap their fingers off for it, even if it is chelsea.
