Bloody hell the ITV commentary of the Holland game is sounding like an obituary. It's incessant

Commentator thinks a 13 goal swing between Holland and Sweden means Holland need to beat Sweden 13-0 :wacky:

Too many past it (Robben), never was (Babbel) and bang average players (Wijnaldum, Janssen) in the Holland Team.

That Portugal v Switzerland on Tuesday is gonna be interesting aswell. Both are assured of a playoff spot minimum, and Portugal need to win if they want to qualify directly

    Bulguria vs France.....

The ref seems to be double park. Stole 15secs of added time from both halves. Maybe he can't wait to get home. Lol

    So much for a "minimum"

Just finished watching Bosnia v Belgium. Crazy game that FIFA seemed to insist was played in the early 1980’s.

Very harsh on Bosnia to lose it, and based on this game also harsh if they miss out on a play off spot to the shit kicking likes of NIreland, Wales and Scotland.

Haven’t seen the games but don’t understand how Bosnia haven’t picked up more points though, so maybe they only have themselves to blame.

You have to take the fact Belgium were just going through the motions, and had nothing to play for into account though.

    Might bet:

    £50 - Ronaldo 1 goal
    £30 - Ronaldo 2 goals
    £20 - Ronaldo hat trick

You just know he's going to steal the show. His record for Portugal this campaign is ridiculous.

It'll be his last WC, so he'll be bang on it, being as it's the only trophy he doesn't have in his collection.

I expect the rest of the team will also play above themselves for that reason, as much as they'll want to for themselves.

I reckon a 7-0 win might do it instead...

I’m not sure that’s entirely the case, I think it was as much the Martinez factor as anything. He started off with Fellani and DeBruyne in a cm2, with Corrasco LWB. Why is he playing a full (available) strength side in a dead rubber? I also think Bosnia went for it, knowing they needed a result. And the conditions were atrocious.

Christian's at it again, Penalty goal to guarantee Denmark in the play-offs as it stands.

Sweetly struk pen. We (Spurs) should do better in shootouts than we have in the past should we find ourselves in one.

Romania equalise but it's most likely academic for Denmark, it'll take a lot to go against them in the other groups for them to drop to the bottom 2nd placed team.

Denmark has a better record than Slovakia, so Denmark has confirmed their playoff place.

Northern Ireland put on a pretty naff showing against Norway, now that they knew they were through to the playoffs anyway.

Highlights worth watching for Chris Brunts brilliant OG. Norway also denied a goal for an incorrect offside (ball came from a GAWA player) and denied a penalty for one of the most obvious wrestles in the box you're likely to see.

Not that it mattered. Good luck to GAWA in the playoffs.

Wales/Ireland should be fun tonight. Both teams needing a win, Ireland a big one. Should be a wide open affair.

Draw is most likely enough for Wales to not be the worst second placed side.

Heard earlier on that a draw will deffo see them get a play-off place.

I'd imagine they'd be seeded too, so a massive chance of making the WC. Not sure about Ireland.
