Not sure anyone beats the welsh when it comes to singing a national anthem.

Well over 24 hours late on this, but just wanted to say that I'd imagine most people on this forum (including me) are hoping the BIG qualify. I'd be happy with any of the home nations and Ireland qualifying for a major tournament. Ireland, especially, bring a great crowd.

If there is any bitterness I suspect it's just from a minority, and probably based on the brand of football more than anything. I still remember my reaction when Ireland beat Italy in '94 :D

Was there in Giants' Stadium. The Irish fans were outstanding. They were all I could talk about after the game. I was in some great seats (row behind M Navratilova amongst other celebs of the time) thanks to some friends at Adidas. The Irish fans began in the section next to us and boy did they make a racket the whole game. And they literally may have hugged everyone in the stadium at the conclusion of it. It was fantastic. My favorite game I went to during that WC.

I was doing work experience as part of my schooling (on a farm in the South East countryside) and ran home to watch it. Cheered Houghton's goal as loudly as any England goal!

Apprehensive about the Argie game tonight, emigrating out there in four weeks so obviously I want a party world cup atmosphere next summer.

Plus the misses will be insufferable if not.

ruh roh, America. 1-0 down to T&T.
Should be 2-0 also but the ref missed a penalty shout right after the goal. Omar Gonzalez is god awful yet somehow he is preferred to Cameron by this stupid fucking schmuck who calls himself a manager.
