According to the Nowegian press, Sepp is to be re-elected tomorrow, on the condition he resigns within two years. This will give Fifa enough time to find a new overlord.

http://www.dagbladet.no/2011/05/31/nyheter/fifa/sepp_blatter/korrupsjon/uefa/16743370/

We negotiate Sepp Blatter departure mighty football nations dealer tonight on a proposal which means that FIFA president must resign within two years.

ZÜRICH (Dagbladet) Dagbladet can now reveal that the negotiations taking place tonight in the International Football Association (FIFA) president Sepp Blatter about the future - and the imminent departure.

More powerful soccer nations gather support for that Sepp Blatter re-elected at the Congress tomorrow. But only for two years, not four as normally.

Missing candidate - Why not get him to resign immediately?

There is no clear candidate. This is a proposal that would give FIFA time to find successor to Blatter, said FIFA a centrally placed source told Dagbladet. As the successor is not ready, you come no closer to a no-confidence statement than this proposal in the current FIFA. The only one who tried to run against Blatter, Qatar's Mohamed Bin Hammam, is stripped as corrupt.

A few blank votes Not surprisingly, the UEFA (European Football Association), which leads the negotiations on Blatter expedite departure. UEFA want their candidate will take over when Blatter sounds, and feel all the pressure from public opinion about the intervention of FIFA chaos.

UEFA peaks are now attempting to England and Scotland with the team. Both of the two national associations have previously gone out and said they would vote blank to protest the presidential election tomorrow. - Although there is some support for England's proposals, there are few who believe such a selection to get the required number of votes. The protest will easily be forgotten and we have not achieved anything, "said Dagbladet's source.

And adds: - There is a better solution to give Blatter resign within two years, "said Dagbladet's source. Pander to the England UEFA countries' proposals to give Blatter a period of notice is the compromise one now trying to collect for the majority. England and Scotland shall know what Dagbladet be slipping. - It is likely that there will be a joint statement. To see it at least out right now, "said the source who is participating in the game of Blatter's future.

Norway Norway's vote has previously stated that it supports Blatter rather than Bin Hammam. Bin Hammam is suspended from FIFA. Pressed against Blatter has in recent days increased.

For Norway it is no longer sure how the voice will be used tomorrow afternoon. It confirms soccer president Yngve Hallén tonight to Dagbladet. - We will not run any solo performances, but now waiting for the situation leading up to the election. The Scandinavian countries speak with common voice in the UEFA. We're going to listen to the proposals which might come, "he said in a comment to Dagbladet disclosure.

Solo home

Several Asian delegates claimed to return home in protest against the treatment of corruption suspended Bin Hammam. At least nine of the continent's 46 member countries to have announced that will not attend the FIFA Congress, reports the Times of India and China Daily. UEFA wants to show the world that Europe is dynamic and will not let corruption destroy the world football's reputation. Whether European countries are getting enough support or not for only two years to Blatter, wants to see more muscle under tomorrow's presidential election. - There are other proposals being discussed. But right now there is a period of notice for Blatter being negotiated, "said Dagbladet's source. It is not known whether Blatter has been informed about, or has consented to a dismissal in 2013. One thing is certain: The drama surrounding controversial FIFA and Sepp Blatter is not over.

I wouldnt discount Blatter yet. He clearly holds alot of power. 2 people have stood against him and both have been crushed (Blazer and bin Hamman)

The only way to re shape FIFA is to hit them where it hurts, ie sponsorship.

I dont understand how FIFA still operates as it does. Clubs take all the risks by giving their players to national teams for free, FIFA teake all the rewards by sponsorship.

LMAO it gets even better. The acting President of CONCACAF sent out a letter saying that he's firing Chuck Blazer only for the executive committee to come out and say that he doesn't have the power to do that, only the committee does and that Blazer remains General Secretary.

Now he's posted on Facebook telling the world that he does have the power to fire Blazer. He had to do it on facebook because Blazer controls the concacaf site and won't give Lisle Austin access to it.

This is too good.

A boycott by all the countries under FIFA's flag would seem to be the only option but I doubt it will happen.

Withdrawal from all the competitions would mean a real financial loss, or crisis even, for some clubs.

A sad day for football.

Interesting that there were 17 votes against, I wonder who the others were?

I am surprised that anybody really thought Blatter was going to fold, I told you what would happen, he will get elected unopposed and Chuck Blazer will be his cheer leader.
Did anyone see his latest bit of flummery going on about the Fifa boat being in troubled waters and he's the man to steer them out of it; he probably is as he's the man that steered them into it but I very much doubt that he will, he's such a petty Bourgoise Swiss Bureaucrat he couldn't be more of a cliche.

Here, here i think that the FA should pull England out of the world cup and any other competiton that is run by FIFA until Blatter stands down and the corruption issues are sorted.

Would be a brave step by the FA!

I would be happy if they did that.

It was a brave move by the FA to stand against this lot, unfortunately it fell on deaf ears.

A sad day for football indeed.

What a pathetic display from world football. I hate Sepp Blatter.

(If only I had control of a crack team of ninjas to take him down.)

I hate Sepp Blatter as well. He looks like a rejected idea for a Danger Mouse character, and his name sounds like the noise an old dog would make when it's choking on a dildo.

Says it all really.

They could ofcourse go a step further by working with the likes of Sky and Barclays to tweak FA sanctioned competitions by introducing goal-line technology, retrospective banning and greater punishment for diving, which would be a huge fuck you to FIFA and have a massive impact in football in general as the Premier League is the most watched league in the World.

I wouldn't be so sure as the Germans seem to have thrown their weight behind our position, that said Blatter would be happy as a pig in shit if we pulled out, we should stay in and keepstirring the pot.

ive been following changeFIFA on twitter, also a bunch of the journos covering it. for the election today Blatter being the only candidate needs just one vote against 205 abstinations to be re-elected. its beyond laughable how they can continue to do as they please without any recriminations, and yet again any uprising of discontent is quashed almost immediately.
