We all knew Berba was going to United (I think!), but what really annoyed me was that the morning after the deadline, on the Man Utd website, you could download a Berba animation for your phone (similar to the ones for our Spurs players). No way they designed that overnight. Would have been worked on weeks in advance.

The EPL is becoming more like F1 everyday. There will soon be 1 or 2 clubs that command all of the power in the league and even the governing body, the FA in this case, are frightened to death of them. This will mean that they can basically do what they want and when and all of the other clubs, while pulling off the odd victory once in a while, will basically just be there to keep the numbers up with the most powerful taking the best of the talent that they bring through.
Can anyone realistically see Man City, with all of their new found wealth, making a serious callange for the title in the next couple of years?

Isn't that what they said about Chelski before Roman started throwing around all his cash? Didn't they win two Prem titles with that cash?

Sure I agree with you that maybe the top 4-5 clubs will get special treatment but with new very rich owners coming into the leauge on a regular basis I think things will balance themselves out as much as they can be balanced.

Do you not think that the Chavs and Mancs are pulling away from the rest though?
The Chavs were always quite a fasionable team going back years and being based in London does give them appeal. It maybe just me but I cannot see Man City succedding in the same way.
There are only so many off these sugar daddies to go around and I cant see them going for teams like Wigan, Blackburn etc
