Which ones can you think of?
I'll give a couple:
Lennon offers 'nothing defensively'. IMO he does a lot going back - probably more than he did offensively last season
Ashley Cole is 'great going forwards'. Ok, he gets up there. But he just makes up the numbers - how many assists/goals does he get? Compare him with Leighton Baines/Contraero/Walker...
Defoe is fast. He's not - at least not particularly. He's sharp at times though.
Huddlestone doesn't work hard enough - he has been shown to cover more ground than almost every other player in a Spurs shirt this season
Modric is lightweight - he is actually very strong for his size
Bale isn't skilful - yes he is :duh: some people seem to think he is just fast!
There's a few of mine. Do you agree/disagree? There is bound to be a few arguments from this as the point is that they are stereotypes that everyone believes so it should make an interesting thread! What are your footballing myths?
