I really rate Arbeloa. Great signing for Madrid at a great price.

Gotta say i was pretty shocked at that price. Don't know how long Arbeloa had on his deal, suspect it might have been one year left. Solid defender who is equally good at RB and LB.

casillas

torres - ramos - albiol - arbeloa

That's a square peg in a round hole. I know he's versatile but a teams that's going out and spending the money that Real are are not going to settle for that. If they dont fancy Marcelo then they will buy a left footed left back I'm sure. Arbeloa will more likely be first choice right back, with Torres as back up RB and LB.

I'm really interested to see how the midfield will line up. I think it will be CR and Kaka given free roles behind Benzema. The dutch lads dont seem to be on the move so I'd imagine Sneijder will get a fair few games as he's so versatile. I'm suprised Van der Vaart is still there though, I can't see him getting many games. Robben will get games when he's fit I'm sure.

that was just me fielding all their spanish defenders lol, no way will that be their preferred backline. pepe will start most games at cb.

vdv may still go, he said he will listen to offers, but i don't think any bids have been made for him yet.

mido to zamelak £4m loan for a season and can buy him for an additional £1m. is it just me who wonders why they dont buy him outright and if he doesnt do anything in the loan spell he'd still have a resale value of over 1m so they could sell him on. strange one

Jesus, those East Stirling boys are ripping up the transfer window!

East Stirlingshire have signed former Harthill Royal goalkeeper Gavin Sorley but have also spoken to Falkirk boss Eddie May about signing Jamie Barclay.
