So apparently Morgan Gibbs-White and Nuno fell out big time while at Wolves. And he's probably Forest's best player...

mark my words, they sack Cooper and bring in Nuno, they are getting relegated. Nothing against the guy, he's nice, but I just don't see it working out there.
I don't think they will get relegated, purely because Luton, Sheffield and Burnley are terrible and pretty much dead certs to go down this season. He'll be down in the mix though I suspect and very surprised to see him still in the role by xmas 2024 as they panic again

Who cares about Nuno, and NFFC for that matter? Nuno barely made an impression to warrant a thread continuing in Spurs Chat. Ironically, this post will bump this thread. 😒

I don't care about NFFC or Nuno. I just find it a quite bizarre appointment considering how well Steve Cooper had done. Seems obligatory now to sack any manager who doesn't continually better their previous achievements. Life doesn't work like that.

I would disagree with that. I feel the expectation at NF would be completely different than what it was for us. If you look at the circumstances (better described as a circus) when we signed him, he had already failed before even picking a first team.
Nuno is a good manager and in the right settings he could make a manager.

Nuno mainly did OK at Wolves because Mendes sent a load of players his way who Wolves would historically never have a sniff of getting. Don't think anything like that will be happening at NFFC and he'll have to work with what he's got. Can't see him doing any better than Cooper if that's the case.

To be fair to Nuno, he gave us some tough games and they did attack us with intent.

Think the games at our place were the ones they were more compact and hit us in transition but I remember 2 games at Molineux were they deserved to win but we did. One was with Poch too.

Had Pep's number and beat United a couple of times too so is a capable coach.

He gets Wolves into a similar shape then he will probably do okay.

Just think he lacks inspiration and other things which he needed to do well at a club like us.

Not sure how to call it. The Awoniyi injury has been massive for Forest, that guy was putting away the chances they were creating and a big part of their fall off has been their being poor in front of goal. Had he still been fit I don't think Cooper would have been fired.

Likewise, Nuno isn't suddenly going to start getting their current XI scoring for fun. I think they might start to concede less but I don't think the football is going to get better.

On MGW; He was a young player trying to fight his way into a Premier League side. It's hard and its frustrating, especially if you aren't getting chances you think you deserve. He probably did fall out for Nuno, but it's been 3-4?? years since they were together.

He looks more confident, and speaks with so much more confidence now.
Rabbit in the headlights when at Tottenham.
