Nice guy Nuno, comes across as a decent bloke, but sadly he’s taken us backwards in his short tenure, and that’s saying something after Jose. I’d be more patient that he was trying to re-build if I could actually see some semblance of a footballing philosophy starting to be bedded in, I could even take the losses if I could see we were exposed whilst still being in the early stages of trying to implement a system. I expected us to play 3 at the back given that’s how he always set Wolves up, that would have at least shown he’s come in with a clearly defined vision, and I would take the mistakes expected due to teething issues. But that’s not the case, and the metrics speak for themselves, stunted attacking play and complete lack of workrate paint a pretty accurate picture of the football we’ve been seeing on the pitch.
Time to admit this was a mistake appointment. Get someone who can bring a style the fans can get behind. If the fan base can see some actual playing ambition and intensity, that will go a long way to buying the new guy some breathing space whilst he (and Paratici) make the relevant changes. We have to understand it won’t be a quick fix, but any signs of progression will be welcomed with open arms. We want our team back.

Maybe 30 years ago but then squads respected the management a bit more and took a bit more responsibility on the pitch if things weren’t going right. Have to say modern football doesn’t really have any leaders these days especially in the sense you are talking about.
They just get their PR teams to put a load of emojis on their profile after a game, it’s all bullshit these days and it’s about time fans started opening their eyes to it unfortunately.
Players just have a different mentality to years gone by and for older generation supporters who have seen the likes of the Chivers, Van Den Hauwe and the last of his generation I say Naybet they just don’t have that ‘bleed for the badge’ mentality or passion any more.
I think people do over egg this one a bit. Like there haven't always been unprofessional cowards playing football. Teams used to suck back in the day as well. Fans used to throw shit at the manager in the old days as well. Managers used to get the tin tac in the old days as well. Managers used to lose the dressing room in the old days as well. Their have been dressing room grasses as long as there have been dressing rooms. There have been clueless chairmen who think they know it all since the dawn of time. There have been managers who were despised for their style of football for as long as there has been football. Teams that don't attack have always been deeply unpopular. Teams that don't try have always been deeply unpopular.

Its just a bit of a myth that modern football is full of twats. Sure there's more money involved now and social media shines a bit of a light on it but lets not pretend the old days were some golden era where men were men and managers were honourable gentlemen and chairmen were fans like the rest of us. Read any footballing biography from a player from the 60's, 70's or 80's and you'll see that football was as much a circus back then as it is now.

Conte wants to win the premier league and the champions league……ENIC do NOT. Thats all you need to know.

It will most likely be Mason to to the end of the season

I suspect they do, they just don’t want to pay what’s required to do it!

I know a lot of people on here don’t like Ricky Sacks - but he was brilliant on Sky this morning.

Can't see how any Spurs fan could disagree with this, regardless of whether you like the person who's saying it or not.

The decline predates the CL final, we all know this but it needs to be held up more in the media, Pochettino got us to a CL final with a midfield two of Winks and Sissoko not Dembele and Wanyama.

According to Romano, his job is 'more than in danger' and they are only waiting to sort out his replacement before making it official. Surely they're not going to make the poor sod take training in the meantime?

I know we’re a banter club. But after yesterday and all the furore, imagine Nuno actually taking training this morning.
Yes I can just imagine it as he says "right now lads, you know how the drill works, I want you to amble up the pitch half arsed with passes sideways and backwards and then running into a cul de sac by giving the ball away, and anyone who shoots on target will be fined two weeks wages.....carry on while I've got to pop into the office to have a chat with the other bald one.........if I don't come back it was nice while it lasted....."

Personally I think Conte is all kinds of wrong for us but given the shit show I’m not going to throw my toys out if we get him I suppose. Would much, much rather Potter, though, as he seems an ideal fit for us, imo.

The whole World turned us down in the summer, I don’t think we are going to be able to be overly picky

We are not getting Potter in a million years

It’s not easy to speak live on tv but he does really well. Says it as it is and did well to put pressure on the club to make the right appointment. Comes across as a passionate fan. Not sure what he’s done to have people dislike him. Seems a genuine chap.

I honestly think we’d get Potter if we really, really wanted him. I just think we’ve showed little to no interest to date. But you’re probably right, we won’t as he’d cost a fair bit and we might have to wait until the Summer.

I’ll take Conte at this point but then I’d take Yankspurs as caretaker manager at the moment.

Think it's more to do with the podcast that he does. The podcast is that regular that they have to come up with opinions & thoughts that I suspect are not what they really feel and think that goes against him. That's not a huge criticism of them that's the podcast way, they have to keep it interesting.
As you said he came across well and is very articulate. I think he does a decent job on the podcast but it's some of the others on it that Im not keen on.
