Yeah, just saw that in the vs Newcastle thread. If Gil also has it, Reggie may not be far behind as they were on a private plane together the other day.

Fuck me, the news just keeps getting worse. If we have no Sonny and Kane plays like a twat again, we're fucked.

Fifa have a lot to fucking answer for.

I'm no fan of the clubs and their greed but this carry on with these internationals during a global pandemic whilst going on about more world cups is absurd.

I wonder if the clubs will start looking at legal action. Unless the international federations want to start paying the players these hundreds of thousands a week then i dont see how the clubs aren't getting really really frustrated with it

Nuno is gonna have a hard time keeping results flowing with these sorts of things going on.
Depending what he does with the South Americans we can line up a strong side. He only needs to replace Son for SB from the Villa line up. My fear is he overthinks it and we see a tactical masterclass like palace or arsenal And the reintroduction of Dele.

I predict another rough week for Nuno. I can see us losing all 3 of our league games this month but picking up wins in the ECL and LC. That would be awful.

I think it should be okay. Reggie was probably left (sitting at the) back and Gil on the wing :cautious:

I feel for him as its one shit show after the other.

However its his job still manage the team and get results! Its not like we are exclusively alone with the covid/international travel/player injury issues. A lot of managers are currently facing them

I really hope he doesn't and his apologists out there don't use these as excuses IF we have bad run of results over the next 4/5 weeks as to me. He cant keep hiding behind excuses after every awful performance or result.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Just like when Jose was in charge, it doesn't matter what his 'apologists' say. It's not like Levy scans through SC and decides from the comments whether or not to fire him.

People don't want him as manager or don't like the football, and the dour interviews are another stick to beat him with. If people were satisfied with the football it wouldn't really get a mention. Just don't watch them. Nothing of interest ever comes from them, even under a charismatic manager.

I get what your saying there but I would say that whilst he hosts those pre match interviews he is the face of the club and represents what peoples perception of the club will be. A good leader should recognise that and galvanise the whole club through the way he portrays himself

This is it. Disappointing that Son/Gil are out but we should be able to play pretty much the same side that won against Villa just with Bergwijn replacing Son. It’s really not that much of an issue. That 11 should be good enough to beat a poor Newcastle side.

If Son and Gil are out for 10 days no wonder he looked to be in a shitty mood in his presser, I would be too
