Well after losing for the fourth time in four and 5-1 you would probably think he only has a game or two left.

He said in his interview the positive was they would change something, but more players? For me the fault lays with the manager and ultimately the board who made a series of mistakes in appointing the wrong men.

Have to say as much as I was unhappy with Tim, I think the Fulham job could be a good one for him if he has the stomach for it. Though after not taking the palace roll due to "not being asked quickly enough", you have to wonder which team he thinks he can get?

They got rid of too many experienced players going down the road of youth only. You need a balance and they should have kept a couple of the experienced match hardened players. They seem to have some good young kids but need someone who can take them on a bit and not destroy the potential of these players. Might be a good job for Tim f he wants a real challenge

I have a German friend who knows a lot about the Bundesliga, and he told me that Magath is almost hated by everyone in Germany. He does not have a high reputation there, so he had to move out of the country. Again he fails, it seems.

But let's face it. What a bad and boring team they have now! How could they start a season with a boring team like that? I wonder why they don't see i? Like I have said many times before. There are so many football people at the top level who don't have a sense for what a good team is. Football should be exciting, or what? I would be gutted to support a team like that.

It is unbelievable to see sometimes....

The transfer window remains open with very days left. I can see any takers for the job (assuming Felix is sacked) until after the window closes. It's Win Win for a new manager

I think good old Chris Hughton could be good for them. Obviously he didn't do that well at Norwich, but he managed to get Newcastle promoted and nearly got Birmingham back up as well. Both under slightly difficult circumstances. He's also seemingly quite good at working with younger players and puts the team ahead of himself. No idea why they went for Magath.

That said, they could always make Scott Parker player manager. I think he's been doing his badges.

The sooner Sherwood is back in a job the better I think. It will be interesting to see what kind of manager he is and develops into away from the hysteria of WHL. Dropping down a league with a potential contender would be ideal for him I think.

........ and apart from anything else it will be entertaining one way or another!

Agreed, and with the market for British players being well overpriced they need to look a fresher, cheaper, and alltogether more exciting markets like say, for example, maybe Africa. An entire continent of exciting untapped talent (avoiding Liberia of course).

Seriously though, why Magath was kept beyond the end of last season mystifies me. It's early enough that they have plenty of time to turn things around, but he needs to go now.

At least Scotty Parker scored yesterday though.

Sherwood did nothing last season to merit getting a new job. If we had a less talented squad we would have been in free fall under him.

Well, the ginger bearded **** did even less and managed to get Chelsea out of top 4 on his previous job and still landed a gig at Zenit. Though he is doing well there, but Magath won 2 titles with Bayern and winning with Bayern is pretty much comparable to winning with Zenit.

That's a bit mean to Andre, he is by all accounts a really nice chap.

I'm surprised at that really, I never liked him but it wasn't as if he was so bad that he doesn't deserve another chance somewhere lower down the leagues. He did win many games despite being a t**t!

John Arne Riise was on Norway' MNF for the City-Liverpool game and absolutely blasted Magath's methods and the new owners for ripping the club apart. Complete Stone Age training methods apparently. Can't say I'm surprised.

From what I've read about Magath is that he's very much into the physical aspect of training and not so much technical or tactical side. He demands the impossible of players and burns them out whilst at the same time constantly applying too much stick and not enough carrot. It's almost like it's all hard work with very little incentive. I don't think players enjoy playing for him by the sounds of it.

Pretty much exactly what Riise described. Double sessions almost every day, no tactical drilling, most days all they did was run for an hour in the mornings, have lunch and then play 11v11 without him saying a word to them. If true that's pretty shocking.

But Riise was even more critical of the owners who took over from Al Fayed. Slated them for ripping apart the fabric of a nice, family club, destroying something that was working perfectly fine and keeping them in the division.

Always had a soft spot for Fulham, so hope that Felix gets the bullet soon and they get in a manager to help get them on the right track.

It is a shame because Fulham had successfully been managing to punch above their weight for many seasons when Al Fayed was owner; however, I think it was a bit naive of anyone to imagine that a new owner was going to come in and just be happy for things to be ticking over.
