I can just about accept some piss poor decision making/shooting in the penalty box because by and large we've always carried a threat and sometimes it's just not your night (although there really was some terrible misses).

What is largely inexcusable and it's been coming, is the total disregard to defending as a team and recognising the dangers the opposition creates. Ange needs to get a firm grip on this or present something that resembles growth because it's the same issues each and every game.

So many below par performances. Fulham deserved the win and are a good team. Kulu on the right just looks so one dimensional at times and Sonny had one of those games where he cannot pass it 5 yards to a team mate. Baffling.

Remember when last week some of us were whispering it quietly, that we may still be in a title race? Well if we play like that again we can kiss champions league goodbye.

honestly tragic performance
Not tragic, but poor and disappointing for sure. Not sure it was lack of effort, more a case of somehow the team being half asleep, turgid. And Fulham were good.

If I'm Ange here, I'm going into the dressing room and giving them the "I'm not angry, I'm just very disappointed" speech. Then walking out without saying anything else.

On the bright side, it's my great grand daughters christening tomorrow, it's gonna be interesting to say the least because the 'other' side of the family consist of a stepfather who's half blind and susceptible to a snake punch from the side and a wino mother who regularly obliges him. There's also a sister who is of, let's say loose virtue, who has been known to get pissed and looks for some poor unsuspecting sod to do the horizontal hokey cokey with resulting in scratchycuffs with said poor sod's other half.

We've made sure the vicar is on their table and we're well away from it.

I reckon it could get tasty..

I'm disappointed that I have to hope west ham win tomorrow so we can stay in touch with Villa. That just sticks in my throat.

Why didn't Udogie run with the ball today?

Not blaming him for the defeat but I find it really weird.
.
Also they were running off their men all game, bordered on laziness at times

Well on an optimistic note everyone has a bad day so maybe they all had theirs today and things can only get better from now on.

It's easy to knee jerk this. But this is not a surprising result. We know we've had a mentality issue for years and years. We should have made several domestic and european cup finals over the last 10 years. Our squads have been more than good enough (especially when you think about the Europa League years). But we go away to a hard working team and we cant match their effort and desire. Ange is trying to change this but it takes years not months.

Yeah, not for me I'm afraid. This wasn't down to us being a work in progress, it's down to them believing their own hype after last week and thinking all they had to do was turn up.

I think next season we have to figure out a way to balance the midfield. Not just in personnel but they can't all expect to be the playmaker. If we're hit and miss with one game a week then we're going to be in real trouble with European football.

Maddison has been annoying me a lot since his return from injury. I thought he'd turned a corner last week, but he was back to usual slow and too many touches today. Thinking you're the man while being a yard or two behind the needed pace is a shitty look. He embodies the idea of just needing to turn up and that's enough. He was a joke again today.

Silva knew where the spaces are in our system and his team exploited them well. Ange did not make any tactical changes at half time to stop those areas being exploited.
