I think he's in for a right old shock if/when he goes.

He's in fantasy land atm and that's easy to understand with all the hype and RM looking desperate to get him at nearly any cost. I can understand how that must affect someone. But he needs to listen to his missus, as she has no doubt tried to bring him back down to earth...but seemingly in vane.

And what if they get there and she's not happy?? According to past info she hasn't been 100% on this at all. He may have managed to talk her round but living there - in the heat of THAT kitchen - is another thing altogether.

I think he's making a huge mistake, and as quick as the media and the football world will hold you up, they will body slam the fuck out off you, kick you out on the street and treat you like a stinking hobo.

Even if it is 100m or whatever, the fact is Real and their stooges have behaved appallingly and unethically in this whole affair. Bale had, as far as we know, expressed no desire to leave, had certainly not handed in a transfer request, was being offered a bumper new contract, despite having 3 years left on his existing one, then along comes Perez, Barnett, Zidane and other reptiles all trying to "turn his head." The best player to have worn the Spurs shirt in a decade or more and RM, a club up to its eyes in debt, who still haven't paid us all the Modric money, still get their man.
So, I don't wish Bale well, if he 's off. I think he's been badly advised, is being a bloody fool, will struggle to settle there - and Perez is one of the biggest **nts in football (altho' Barnett runs him a close second).

I can accept Bale leaving now. I was all against it but at that time i didn't expect us to be so active and shrewd in the market. Our team is much stronger than last year and we have closed on Arsenal and United without Bale. Id rather 100m with 2/3 more quality signings to come in than have a Sulky Bale.

With this said...I find it very hard to Believe that Bale is being a diva - he has so much riding on his commerical profile that I'm of the opinion he is just injured and keeping quiet to not close off options. If he stays he can say that was his intention - if he goes he hasn't quoted that he was desparate to leave.

whatever the scenario I'm confident we can get top 4!

So, has the tide started to turn now in the will he/won't he go debate? I've been saying all window he'll stay and now I'm feeling less confident of that.

Don't get me wrong, I want him to stay and build a team around him, but I'm not going to sweat if he leaves. The Spurs will continue to go marching on regardless.

Certainly among the more trustworthy of ITKs..

I asked him a follow up: @Gards44 conclusion as in Madrid bound I take it?
"Not sure but got info from inside the club saying they would be surprised if he stayed but i hope he does i really do!"

So not sure if the conclusion was that he is staying or going then. Doesnt sound like most people inside the club knows what happens next either. Imo DL is still waiting on the big bid from Perez.

if we sell Bale we should only agree to do so after the Arsenal game in which we play him (he scores and we win obviously). Then with Lamela already signed up I give him my blessing to leave for £100M..

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but no one currently wears #11 for Real Madrid. That sure is convenient. It's also convenient that Bale's injury will keep him out for exactly as long as the transfer window remains open. I think I've reached the stage of acceptance--Bale is gone.

Like hell Bale will risk injury in our biggest derby game before trotting off to Spain. Unless he comes to the decision that he's not leaving whatsoever then he won't play in any games until the window shuts. If we're considering letting him go then let's do it asap and get in the replacements quickly before other clubs pick those players up.

We clearly need one out of lamela / Willian . Eriksen, alder, coentrao added to that and i am happy. We were Top 4 contenders before Bale played like a god and with this squad we will still be.

That's right and with the scum not kicking on this window like that Ivan chap publicly proclaimed they would then we really need to capitalise.

The worst thing about this (possible) transfer is the thought of that cum-guzzling turdburglar Florentino Perez "getting his man", diaper-eating analbleacher Barnett getting a big pay day and the fact that yet again an morbidly overpaid individual gets a deal that ensures that he's even more overpaid by refusing to do what he's paid to do.

Could not agree more, this isn't a Modric, or a Vdv, or even a Ozil. Bale will move as the most exspensive player in history of the game, he will not be given a bedding in period he will be expected to produce, and I dont mean with simply goals. He will be expected to to entertain the crowd. This will be huge pressure on a player who if were honest has only perfomed at the top level for one season. Too much too soon and lead by his agent, he was all talking about the upcoming season a month ago and now there is nothing but silence from him.

Young family and his missus to be fair has never seeked the limelight and has always kept herself to herself. In madrid she will be trailled and hounded by the media like never before, away from his family and Im sure his agent will dissappear sharply, leaving a nice contact email adress once the ink has touched the paper. Yes I maybe being a little dramatic but for every success story at Madrid there is a failure the biggest must be Kaka.

Plus living in a hotel for the first month or two with a newborn. No thank you very much. There's no way Barnett has told him the pitfalls of the move: resentment from team mates, pressure to instantly perform and entertain, family adjusting to life in a non English speaking country, wife having no friends and living in a hotel or rented house, not communicating properly with team mates in training....

He's good enough but really how can the timing be right? Perez and Barnett are complete ***** of the highest order and have no interest whatsoever in the player's best interests (and I realise how naive that statement sounds).

Isn't he and Modric good friends? I'm sure he has been in his ear as well. Would help him settle. But yeah the new baby situation is one of our hopes, have 2 small kids myself and couldn't imagine moving away from family when so young, at least not with my first one. But then I have don't know the feeling in being wanted by Madrid, playing CL and earning millions of pounds. I think he is in a difficult situation mentally on this one.

We used to live in Asia and working lots and leaving the wife with a newborn in a big place in a foreign country despite her having the odd friend was something never to be repeated. However, I fear the only people even thinking of that will be his Mrs and his mum and even then who knows how much they've thought it through.
