At least Berbatov and Modric, made their intentions clear and in public. Which is more than can be said of "goody-two-shoes" Bale!

Definitely!
It amazes me that so many people have retained respect for the way Bale has 'conducted himself' yet will happily slate Berbatov or Modric who at least had the decency to be honest about their feelings. rather than hide behind silence.

"Back to Garry Cotterill who has absolutely fuck all to say and possibly the most useless individual to interview who has ever been put on screen"

"It's more than even Monopoly money"

"I sold White Webb centre to Levy so let me give you an insight into the Bale saga. BTW our ladies ten pin bowling team just won a bronze medal"

"back to you arseholes in the studio"

Edit: I made none of that up. Really.

I don't care what we've promised him. I don't care who thinks he is. I don't care what he feels is right. I don't care how he feels. I don't care what he wants.

Under the terms of his contract he's a Spurs player until we negotiate his release. He should be fined.

If I were Levy I'd consider pulling the plug. A player cannot negotiate his own transfer or make demands on our club. He shouldn't have signed a new deal last year if he wasn't prepared to honour it.

Mystery is saying Bale is not due back training until tomorrow over on Tw*tter but could be onion the way it's written:

So GB is not due to train until tomorrow, maybe he's in Cardiff with his family?

not Angry nor fussed by Gareth's actions. Learned my lesson with Modric. I thought ahh that luka is a good quiet boy, he'll never cause any trouble:ROFLMAO:

now I know all footballers act like spoilt shits when they don't get what they want, and are indifferent to the people who made them popular/rich in the first place

Madrid can't afford the asking price thats been the thing all along, all the media c*** is just sideshow, the fee is the fee, we all know Levy won't move on things like that, especially the most prized asset he has had since being the chairman.

Up until this point though, I don't think Bale has done too much wrong.

he made the club aware of his feelings and has been silent since. Why should he have to go out to the media to reinforce it? as long as the club knows, that's surely the most important thing. Real Madrid would've loved nothing more than for Bale to come out and apply pressure via the media.

That said, if he's not turned up for training then maybe he and Barrett have decided to resort to 'last resort' tactics.

The clearest sign yet that he is staying is in today's Telegraph.
A photo showing GB driving a car with a 12 month tax disc, surely if he was leaving he would have opted for only 6 months?
That would be the case if it was Gareth who sorted it out. Bet the club do things like that for the players.

He's probably sat in traffic and thought "....what the hell is that little circle on my windscreen?"

What annoys me is that even Everton have put their foot down on not letting their best players go... I just want a message from the club one way or the other. Is he going or is he staying?

If there is any rage from GB, it should be directed at Real Madrid for not doing enough to get the deal done!

Its clear that his agent/Madrid have told him to do so - if indeed he's not turned up and he's meant to be there.

I don't think there's anything dishonest or cowardly about Bale's silence. He's just keeping as low a profile as he can until the move is complete.

His agent has obviously been briefed to help make the move happen but that's fairly inevitable.

I think it will be a real shame to turn against one of our best ever players and the transfer world record breaker just because he's made a move to Real Madrid happen.

This is the problem and why I wanted us to say not for sale at ANY PRICE and stick by it. Not, he's not for sale except for a silly offer in order to scare people off. Because once you've accepted that he could be for sale then the negotiating process has already effectively started.

Its also the reason that under no circumstances can we ever sell to a PL rival. We will always be seen as a feeder club and whipping boys of the top english clubs.

I don't know if we ever said this though.

Going out in the press to force the clubs hand is a low ball move in my opinion, and it makes it way worse for the fans I think. Bale hasn't resorted to that, which is commendable if a little surprising.

Regardless of what he has said in private, its been just that - private. Best way to deal with it imo.
