Despite knowing this day was coming and being very happy with the players we've managed to bring in with the money I'm still sad to see Bale at Madrid. I think the feeling has been strengthened by the NLD defeat yesterday and the fact that Bale's sale has now strengthened Arsenal.

Haven't watched SSN today and will probably avoid the rest of deadline day as I don't want to watch Bale doing keepy uppys in Spain and Ozil holding an Arsenal scarf.

Really hurts this. It's like a gf and things are bad... you know its going to end soon but you just get on with it. Then, when it happens and you break up and its officially over, it hurts 5x as much. Watching one of the best players in the world play for your club and that one person bringing all eyes around the world focussed on Tottenham. It's a different type of thing.

After yesterdays result, Bale leaving and now Ozil signing for Arsenal, it just tops it off as a sad last 24 hours.
