Instead of worrying about Bale leaving; more concerning is the fact there seems to be no movement on the contract - SO I ASK YOU DANIEL LEVY WHERE IS THE BLOODY BALE CONTRACT AND WHY HAVENT YOU SIGNED HIM UP FOR 4 MORE YEARS?

COME ON - WE WANT ANSWERS!

Maybe Bale doesn't want to sign one.

I can't tell if this is a joke or not

Why would Bale sign a new contract? If we're sure he'll leave in the medium term anyway (which he will) why would we pay him more money?

If there's a genuine intention from Bale to stay then that's different, but I can't see that Bale's itching to sign a new deal that would tie him to the club for even longer if his ambition is to move abroad at his peak

If he is not going as we won't sell, he will sign a new contract to boost his wages and our incentive is to give him a pay bump to protect out investment.

His lump sum up front payment if he leaves on a free is probably more than whatever new contract we offer him.

I think every single spurs fan should order the new kit with Bale on the back. Otherwise there will be a lot of unhappy fans if they decide to sell.

sorry if already posted but the Independent is saying that DL will only deal if Morata is included
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...areth-bales-87m-real-madrid-move-8745637.html

Negotiations between Tottenham and Real Madrid over the sale of Gareth Bale have been stepped up in the past 24 hours, but with Spurs insisting on the inclusion of Spain’s Under-21 international Alvaro Morata in the proposed £87m transfer.

Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman, has made it clear in opening discussions with the Madrid board that he wants the highly rated striker included in the deal.
A meeting between Levy and Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, is scheduled for this week in Florida, with Real due to play in Miami on Wednesday, but the Tottenham chairman will attend only if Real are willing to negotiate Morata’s inclusion in the deal.
Madrid had originally rejected outright Spurs’ request to take the 20-year-old striker, but Perez has been made aware that Tottenham are not interested in alternatives.
Real had hoped to include the Portuguese full-back Fabio Coentrao or Argentine winger Angel Di Maria as part of a record-breaking deal but Tottenham feel the former is overpriced both in terms of his transfer value and wages, while the latter wants to stay at Madrid.
Selling Morata to Spurs would be a hugely unpopular move by Perez, who has tried to banish a reputation for failing to bring through the club’s youth players this summer by not signing a striker and fast-tracking Morata into the first team. If he were to join Tottenham, Morata would link up with another former Real Madrid player, Roberto Soldado.
Spurs see the two as being able to operate as a pair but also want the Spain Under-21 international because he can play on the left of a line of three behind the striker.

Demanding Morata makes absolute sense. Include him in any deal or fuck off. The guy is class and it would also make them rethink their striker situation. A move for Suarez possibly?

Great, Bale is our best player and so is a valuable member of our first team next season.

The longer this goes on the more we should be demanding. Fuck Madrid and who they value as useful players to their season. If they want Bale they have to give things up. Actually I'd ask for more than coentrao and morata now. We are less than 2 weeks from the start of the season, price just went up. Varane should be demanded too considering our defensive issues.

This is exactly the attitude we should have.

Who cares if Morata doesn't want to come or they don't want to include him - that's their problem.

If they want Bale that bad its going to be done on our terms, simple as that.

What you will probably find is that all the ITKs are correct about the Bale deal to an extent:

JJ will be right in that we have internally agreed what a suitable remuneration package would be and communicated this to Madrid and hence he is certain Bale will go.

Mystery is probably right that commercially we are putting out there that there will be no-deal, as it protects our sponsorship.

LLM and Grey Fox are also probably correct in that we have been supplied with no proof of funds so to a certain extent we are treating Real's offer as bluster. This was also backed up by Wishkah to an extent iirc.

We probably haven't received any offers for Bale but that doesn't mean that negotiations haven't taken place. It just appears that no-one really knows what is going on 100 %.

From my perspective I think we would accept a suitable deal for Bale, but I just can't see one emerging and hence I can see a new fat juicy contract on the horizon.
Agree, ITK's get their info from a range of sources, so rather than looking at ones as right or wrong, it is better to use them all to piece together the bigger picture. From financials to agent rumours or a commercial planner at the club, all will have differing views depending on their quarter. I commend your post sire.

In an ideal world, yes. Madrid may well be desperate to keep Morata, but if we stand completely firm we'll be able to find out if they're even more desperate to sign Bale.

RM have been using marca and other means zidane etc to bully us over the past weeks months its about time we stood up and have this bale situation on our terms if we want morata as part of the deal then thats how its going to be.
People who think bale will spit the dummy out and go misssing next season if he doesnt get his move is stupid bale will settle down again and get back to the way he was terrifying defence and keepers up and down the country.
Its time to stand up to the bully that is RM and start laying out our demands.

I think that's exactly what we're doing. We're frustrating Madrid and the Bale camp more and more by the day by refusing to be drawn on it. Proper order

The Spanish seem to know what Bale thought when he saw AVB's comments post-Monaco. They even had the word that appeared in his mind. Can't remember what it was, read it about an hour ago. Pathetic though. They also claim it was Barnett who told Sky that Bale was angry with the comments.

Hopefully we demand Jese (unlikely) and Morata in any deal. I'd rather that than take Di Maria.

I completely agree with this, if we are going to get muscled out of our best player it is only just we get someone in return who will help with the loss of Bale. Nether Jese or Morata play in his position but both will hugely help with our squad and both could be superstars in a few years. Its a must happen for me, at least Morata. Jese or Bernard i am happy with ether alongside Lamela on the right.
