Perez is the only one who wants Bale at RM. CR7 kicking up an absolute shit storm. We won't take less than 100m. #gareththepawn

not sure if this should be in the itk thread

Lovely, hopefully Ronnie is threatening to turn down his contract offer if RM persist with Bale, wouldn't surprise me at all. :)

Like I said earlier, he's already questioning £85 million but we've heard from various ITK's we want £100 plus million.

If he's questioning that before we even get onto how to structure the payments, I honestly can't see this deal happening.

Exactly. Especially as we thought the payment structuring would be the real stumbling block for them.

Sky Sources are probably trying to figure a way of making Perez's comments fit with an immenent transfer to Madrid and with that stupid transfer window banner which lists Bale under "out".

They are running with we are being mean, by asking for too much money

Don't care from the point of view that it somehow makes it feel more credible, it doesn't.

But those fucks should at least be consistent. If Perez had said something like...' 100 million is a lot but its something we could potentially get close to'....they'd be all fucking over it.

They're best ignored. You'll never be happy if you start holding them up to any sort of standard ;)

Perez is honestly delusional and a piss taker

'"I do not want to talk about players out of respect to the player himself (Bale), the club and the chairman (Daniel Levy) who is a friend of mine and with whom I struck up a good friendship last summer because of the transfer of Luka Modric.'

Absolute troll.

I'm feeling more and more confident about this now and the facade that Madrid have this disposable income is now crumbling before them and all played out perfectly in the media who have clamoured so much for this move to materialise.

Think i'm going to enjoy these last few weeks of the transfer window! :D

Didn't see that quote.

Jesus to me, it really does sound like huge back tracking. I think they'll concede for now and wait until next summer.

It'd be nice for Perez to come out and say that though because until he signs a new contract it's going to be non-stop speculation and us still in the dark.

This is the final nail in the coffin for Real's bid imo! I'm now convinced that Bale is staying and I'm stroking a chubby at my work desk.
I wonder how sky, Sun, Mirror etc are going to get out of their previous "Real bid £85m" last week?? ;)

Yep.

Although I'm hoping they'll turn their attention to Suarez now and the Bale stuff will die down - just hope he signs a new contract.

Suarez to Madrid would just be orgasmic on every single level lol

All this Bale stuff is paving the way for him to move next year, just like with Modric. It's obvious Levy has a figure in mind and RM aren't prepared to meet it. I imagine they will be able to get him next year close to their valuation. Bale won't have as an impressive season stat wise and with 2 years left on his contract his value will go down. Bale might have the hump for a bit but he'll get his head down and start playing.
