I've not read one credible report in the Spanish media that this is the case (that's not true for Di Maria, who it was reported didn't want to leave Madrid for us). He knows he is done at Madrid and apparently wants to leave. He is fit, yet hasn't even made their bench for their game against Granada today.

Marca, who may have ulterior motives, but who unquestionably have sources at the club, said in early August Coentrao was open to the move. Has something changed since then? I guess Monaco or a similar team with a huge wage packet could be in for him.

I just think it'd be a shame, cause he'd transform us into a title contender. Top player.

It is very likely that there is many details to be finalised; payment structure, amount, possibly negotiating for players to come the other way etc.

We are probably trying to get as many deals 'agreed' ( e.g price ) before the Bale deal goes through because as soon as we have that money the price is going to rise for every player we are interested in! Could it be we are trying to delay it for this purpose?

I think there has been enough coverage of this so that any club out there knows we have the cash coming in - most deals include some form of payment structuring so it doesn't matter when - the prices will have been put up already.

But Bale is gone, he wouldn't be allowed on Holiday whilst the season is underway if he wasn't! He is being fenced off to the side to ensure he is ready to be transferred. Doesn't mean he will 100% leave, as it depends on money coming in, but he is there, ready and waiting to go.

Only teams that will have a chance to sign him, cant see Barca paying that price. Even if it was an east European team with lots of money I can see Bale going to them.
