Sorry i didnt make my point very well - i completely agree with you. I meant to say if we had a £70m net spend at the end of the window i'd be amazed that we didnt spend more in January. Then again I know full well that big £30m signings beyond soldado are dependent on Bale money.

True, me too - especially as Baldini's bern brought in to find us the creme de la creme of up and coming football talent. I always expected this window to be the here and now signings and the subsequent windows to fill the squad depth with young up and coming stars. The spine to our team is actually looking insanely solid. No Sando or Kaboul yesterday even.

United still have massive debts that they need to clear. Can't see them spending that kind of money on one player.

€100m for an overseas team

€120m for a premiership team

No way would Levy sell to a premiership side

Yes - coz he has never done that before has he. The thought of GB in a united shirt makes me feel sick.

I would automatically dismiss anything SSN say until a few days ago when they called Willian spot on so there might be something in this but i doubt it is anything other than Donna leaking fake interest in Bale from other clubs in order to extract more money or better terms out of Real

Think it is a favour we have pulled in, just a feeling. Anyone remember Man City bidding for Berbs after the Corluka balls up.

All of the above. IF true then this confirms that Madrid haven't made an acceptable bid/payment plan. It would be perfectly logical game response from DL to pretend another club was involved.

There could really be a club involved. I don't believe anybody can really afford it (except ironically the scum) but they might believe they can. PSG haven't quite been banned from Europe !

Yeah quite easily be that we are starting to play the media game with RM like they have with us - it could well be a tactic to keep him...... a little sleight of hand, muddy the waters, and before you know it the window is closed!

The only other big team that actually has space for him is Man Utd, whether they could afford a high transfer fee is questionable and I don't see Levy selling to them.

Can only be psg. Monaco are still having problems with the french fa about taxes.
barcas coach slagged off the price of the deal (although could have been a bluff).
city do seem to care (a tiny bit) about ffp.

I would deal at the following

Chelsea - £70m upfront plus Mata and Lukaku

Utd - £50m upfront plus Rooney plus 50% of Rooney's wages over 4 year contract
