It seems to me that even though the British press is quite aggressive, it`s kind of difficult to make the celebrities talk.. In Norway the press can manage to make anyone talk (at least a "no comment"-comment) at any time, and even the prime minister is ready to participate on TV at any time.. In England you manage to make total silence or something..

I think it`s strange. Isn`t it possible to find someone who knows something about this, and who are willing to talk about what they know? Isn`t it possible to get a short comment from Bale, Levy, AVB or the agent..? I`m desperate to hear and read some more information about this now..

I've come to the opinion that everything has been agreed, even Bale's personal terms and that this deal won't go through until the last minute to 1) Allow Levy to make his signings without jacked up prices and 2) to ensure our competition don't bring in their targets off the back of the domino affect caused by the transfer.

I think most clubs will be assuming we are about to be selling Bale for a very large wodge of cash, so I doubt delaying the announcement will do much to quell their desire to inflate their prices.

I think the most likely explanation is simply that Madrid haven't made an official bid of anywhere near our asking price.

Perhaps, but I'd imagine if this deal wasn't somewhere near to close to completion Bale would be more involved. It's the NLD for fucksake on Sunday. Rooney played for against Chelsea... but we knew he would, that transfer was a long way off before that game... I really think this Bale deal's close I'm afraid.

If he has genuinely refused to come to training today then he can fuck off as far as I'm concerned.

I say 'if' because nobody seems to be very sure about the circumstances around him not attending, but IF that is the case then he's dropped 1000% in my estimations and I'll be glad to see the back of him if Madrid finally put in the right offer.
