No, from what I have read, we haven't touched the Bale money yet.

Don't think RM will be the dream move he hopes for. Here he is a big fish in a small pond. There, he is nobody. Lots of their players were quoted as being upset that so much money is being spent and all the ones who were calling for him were big name ex players like Zidane. The expectation as the worlds most expensive player is going to be huge and I can't see him getting along with his new team mates. Ronaldo will have his ego dented and will likely be doing what he can to make Bale flop.

All of this doesn't seem to be effecting team spirit very much

How old is Baines? I know he's a home bird to....but have a sneaky suspicion we might try, and probably fail, to sign him on deadline day!

I'm still amazed by the double-standard that has been applied here. it's been obvious for the past month or so what Bale has been up to, and yet he's received every single benefit of the doubt until it's pretty much been spelled out by AVB today. people really believed he was out with a sore buttock and foot injury? the whole charade with Wales wasn't a load of utter BS?

he's provided me with some of the best football moments of my life, and I'll never forget those, but it doesn't excuse the way he's behaved this summer, and I really do hope he falls flat on his face in Madrid.

it was people just hoping against hope.

Whilst I'm not concerned about how Bale gets on there one iota, it will be interesting to see how he and the object of desire interact. Would CRon simply be as blatant as not passing to Bale?

I wasn't being smug with regards to the "Is this a debate" question.
When I previously asked i think there was still a lot of how it was still up in the air.

Today it feels like that mood has changed.

Just so hard to take when the squad we have built is coming together nicely. You really have to worry about the inteligence of some players if Bale really could not see the potential in the squad or indeed believed the "now or never" BS coming from Real. That is before you even consider the behaviour and presumably his hope he will retain his loyalty bonus by not asking to be transfer listed.

Just makes me feel sick to my stomach that yet again Real get to do what they want and nobody will be enforcing the rules, but that is hardly suprising when they don't even pay their tax in one of the most debt ridden countries in the EU. The advantages enjoyed by Real are the same in my view as cheating from the tax, tv money, land deals, impunity from any sanctions when tapping players up and the way it appears Uefa favour Spanish clubs.

He is clearly too ready to believe everything that lying, cheating, scumbag of an agent tells him.

How do you think he has been badly advised?

I don't have any idea if he has or he hasn't. All I know is Real Wanted him, he appeared to want to go. We publicly said he wasn't for sale.

Finally
He is getting what he wanted, that sounds like good advice, and as he is the one paying for it, it should be to his advantage.

Badly advised in the sense he is so desperate to go yet not prepared to publicly admit it or hand in a transfer request because it would affect how much money he gets - like he doesnt have enough! He's about to get £300k a week! I would have respected him more if he came out and just said it

Badly advised in that he signed a contract with us and yet is playing all the tricks in the book to get out of it, sulking and not turning up to training is down right unprofessional. You could add feigning injury which i think we all suspect but agree its not confirmed.

For me he comes out of all this looking worse than Rooney and Suarez and thats saying something!

Just my opinion but i dont see why he couldnt just say right at the start that he's flattered by RMs interest and jf the club agree fee he would like to talk to them but if not he's also happy to stay at a club that has shown great intent this summer with strong signings

Bale has lost it... No class. He will disappoint all the kids that worship him.... But we move on. At least it's not AVB....

Leave the lad alone. There is no loyalty in football . look at the way we have frozen ekotto out. I'm actually impressed with the way bale has conducted himself compared to the likes of Suarez.
