I hope levy strings them along then pulls the plug last minute just like Porto did to us with moutiniho.
Your not telling me general Levy has learnt nothing in his dealings for say leandro??
He is getting ready to give francos boys one hell of a lesson.

Agree..i also believe GB has done himself know favours by acting disrespectfully towards the club, wouldnt be suprised if DL is digging his heels in on this one now, were as before he might of took a deal to help the player to move, by maybe dropping a little on the transfer fee!

He's a silly boy, should of kept his and his agents mouth shut, trained with the squad, and im sure this would of been concluded alot earlier, he's only got his self to blame if it all goes tits up!!

You dont piss of DL thats for sure, as we have seen in the past!!

I find it rather astonishing that we're being portrayed as the club that is being difficult...
All Madrid have done since the window was opened is publicly tap up, make up stories, unsettle Bale, and generally be complete and utter pricks.
If they see our behaviour as "frustrating" I have no idea how you can classify their actions!!!

He has been giving lessons, for the past 80 days. Always been a fan of DL, not ashamed to admit it. Certainly lived up to, and well beyond my expectations.

With this team of Daniel, Franco aqnd Andre, the future of THFC is in very capable hands. Should probably add a big thankyou to Joe Lewis as well.

Not that I think he will stay, but I am pleased to see how we haven't agreed the deal just yet. Considering our financial outlay I think that Bale would also be signed sealed and delivered if we were entirely dependent on a world record fee coming in.

I think the loan from Joe was to cushion us from having to sell, so if we do get lowballed from RM late on we simply keep the player for another season. As I said, I don't think this will happen, but the fact the we aren't desperate for the cash greatly strengthens our position to maximise the fee.

Well done Daniel and Joe, we really are lucky to have them.

If Arsenal sign Benzema, De Maria and Ozil they will win the league

Levy needs to sign the Bale transfer at 10.55pm Monday so the bastards dont get those 3

I disagree (without the use of the rating system). Their defence is a massive issue for them. Certainly not a title winning defence.

Maybe that really is the reason we're dragging our heels over GB's transfer. If Madrid really are going to sell all or some of those three to Arsenal then perhaps holding on to GB ain't that far fetched!

Did they not have the best defensive stats in the Prem last year?

Besides, they will never sign Ozil, the only way Di Maria leaves is if he's basically ordered to and Benzema is more overrated than hangover sex so the whole point is moot.

Don't Madrid have to register players by 31 August? Their window closes earlier than ours - assume that means they can't register players for the league after that point? I assume that means they will know this and not sign him on Monday and him not be ale to play in La Liga?

More Tapias stuff - I guess we are stalling in their eyes because we will not accept what they are offering , how very very rude of us

From Goal

The deal had been expected to go through at the start of the week, but the English outfit do not want to sanction the Welshman's departure until a replacement has been signed

Real Madrid vice-president Fernando Fernandez-Tapias has accused Tottenham of "stalling" the club's bid to sign Gareth Bale.

Los Blancos had been expected to complete the deal earlier this week, and had even constructed a stage on which to unveil the 24-year-old attacker at the Santiago Bernabeu, only to be forced to dismantle it as the transfer was held up by Spurs' desire to sign a replacement before selling the Wales international.

While Fernandez-Tapias is still confident that Madrid will belatedly get their man, he admits that the Liga giants have been frustrated by Tottenham's behaviour.

"There are problems, but I think it will all be straightened out," he is quoted as saying by AS. "We thought he'd be here, but he hasn't even flown to Madrid yet, although it could still happen

"I think it will happen, but I couldn't swear to it completely. We have to wait, because Spurs are stalling."

Fernandez-Tapias argued, though, that Madrid are more than capable of challenging for titles even if the deal does not go through before the close of the transfer window on September 2.

"I have no doubt of Bale's ability, but without Bale, Real are still a force to be reckoned with - we have an amazing team," he declared.

Bale, who scored 26 goals in 44 appearances for Tottenham last term, is reportedly set to join Madrid for a world-record fee.
I don't get this stalling point. He is our player, that we don't really want to sell therefore it is on our terms or nothing. The only people that could stall the deal is Madrid by not coughing up - which they could have done weeks ago.

It has been established in this thread that their window and our window are exactly the same.
