Nope, would not swap eriksen for Bale. He is far too important to the way we play. Rarely injured and work rate is also immense

The only player I would replace Eriksen with (if he was off) is Fekir and he’s most likely off to Liverpool. To be honest I would love to get Fekir anyway, he would be right at the top of my want list. Beyond that, I would say, considering his age and fitness issues, Eriksen is probably worth more then Bale now. At least, I think teams would be willing to spend more on Eriksen then they would on Bale.

If Ronaldo goes and Bale stays to be main man, then I am ok with that. Just can't bear the thought of him playing for United. Ronaldo to United would be a huge lift to them - however it is another ego to add to an already inflated dressing room. I think Bale would be the bigger success there. Saying that, Ronaldo is the main man at the biggest club in the world, who'll move heaven and earth to please him. I don't think he's going anywhere yet, especially as he wants to play till he's 38 (think he said something like that). He won't be able to do that in the PL. I reckon his words after were to get some of the media attention that was all focused on Bale at the time. Make him the man spoken about. Cynical of me to think that but he's that type of guy.
Also, take into account his relationship with ZZ - doesn't look all that rosy. I don't think he's fully integrated (kinky) into his teammates either - when they lifted the trophy he was like the little schoolboy shoved to the back - you occasionally saw his little bobble over the others. First down the tunnel after too - after what should have been the greatest achievement in his career to date - something isn't right there.

It's pretty clear that our mate Mark over here would probably quite like this thread closed cos in his view "it's never gonna happen". I just take exception with that because ya know, call me crazy, but I think THAT kinda comment is what is trying to block discussion. But what do I know hey.
