I always assumed that the special kitty was Joe Lewis.

@coopsieyid posted what looked to be the first refusal part of the contract. If a bid is accepted we can match it, no other bids can then be accepted even if more.
Not in a Champions league final though.Rooney did a bicycle kick too once

Don't see why he should destroy the balance of the squad. He's not an ego maniac as far as i'm aware.
If Ronaldo leaves Madrid they might be able to convince Bale to stay
Bale wouldn't himself, but if he comes in on a far greater wage than everyone else that could cause plenty of upset in the camp.
And even if it wasn't to affect team spirit, it would make future contract negotiations rather... uncomfortable for levy.
Indeed, there is certainly a lot more to consider than just buy him cos he's very good.
Nah, if you can do it once in a CL final you can do it twice in Manchester, I question your supposition that there would be a sunny afternoon in Manchester though.Ah, so you mean that bale would never be able to replicate his performance on a sunny afternoon in Manchester. Gotcha.

Considering every time I pop into this transfer thread the people have managed to spin 5 pages out of a thought they had with no evidence to support it, I am thinking the idea of getting Bale back makes many on here jizz everywhere...Personally I think if we really wanted him we could do a deal but the financial implications with regard the rest of the squad could be the deciding factor when deciding wether or not to pursue this. For a short bald man, Levy can be quite creative when he wants so although my personal feeling is that it won't happen I wouldn't totally rule it out. Football is a funny old game and it's nice to have the odd dream that doesn't involve waking up to find jizz everywhere.

A large signing on fee could sort the problem out too.Unless we sorted them first.
