Money will talk!

£50m+ can buy at least 2 very good players!

That's the problem though, no one are likely to pay that much.
It's more probable that a big club talk to Bale's agent and that the player start acting up.
As we saw with Berbatov. Things get ugly and our memory of the player is tarnished.

Barcelona are broke by their standards, they have asked for extra funding from their banks and been refused. Spain isn't that far behind Greece in its banks financial status at the moment and cash is hard to come by. Barca have agreement in place for incoming players already and 40-50 million for Bale is out of the question.

IMO only Citeh or a desperate United bid on steroids could come even close to DL's valuation.

If anyone wants to give us £50m, we'll accept. Otherwise forget it. He's under contract. Tough cookies.

Can we sell him to Liverpool? Not because I want them to do well, but they probably value him at about 500 million and we could build our new stadium because of it.

Promising, although no direct quotes, just a bullshit Sun "insider"

I won’t Bale out on Spurs
GARETH BALE has told Tottenham he will NOT be pushing for a move away from White Hart Lane.

But he came through a full session at the club’s training ground yesterday along with fellow crocks Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson.

Despite finishing fourth in the Prem, Spurs missed out on Champions League football after Chelsea lifted the European Cup on Saturday.

But winger Bale, 22, has made it clear to manager Harry Redknapp he is not looking to get away.

Tottenham are aware of the huge interest in the Wales international from all of Europe’s top clubs including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

But a Spurs insider said: “Gareth wants to stay for next season.
“To say he is happy at the club right now is a bit of an understatement.”

Bale sees no point in leaving unless Tottenham want to cash-in on the £40million-rated speedster.
He thinks he can maintain his path to being recognised as one of the world’s elite players with his current club.
And Bale has little desire to move abroad at the moment, preferring to drive back home to his parents’ house in Wales when he has time off.

His commitment to Tottenham is just the boost the North Londoners need after being forced to compete in the Europa League.

And Tom Huddlestone looks on course to be fit for the start of next season.
The midfielder, 25, made just four outings last term after suffering ankle ligament damage and had surgery in February.

your a bit ouf of date. The debt has been cut already by 90 million euros. plus the qatar foundation deal There is a 50 million euro surplus that the club didnt have to pay in bonuses for wining champions league and la liga. Rumours(papers and radio) in Catalunya are that there is 100 million euros plus sales for zubizaretta and Tito to spend.

Rac radio said that barca will offer 45 million but seriously doubt that it will be enough. cb, a lb and cf have to be signed with that money
