Wow, so you're saying they see the Ox as a defensive midfielder???But he has reportedly turned down Chelsea because Liverpool have offered him a chance to play CM. So he'll be competing with Can, Henderson and (I think primarily) Wijnaldum, not the guys you've listed.
Remember that they play 4-3-3, not a 4-2-3-1. Chamberlain can fit in a 4-3-3 with one or two more defensive minded players IMO.Wow, so you're saying they see the Ox as a defensive midfielder???
That would be crazy from Liverpools perspective if they're looking for him to compete with Wijnaldum / Henderson as the defence would have no cover at all
Who is this Pannacitta guy Chelsea have signed, any good?

I agree that he's never shown it, and his display for England in June was absolutely shocking. But Klopp clearly thinks he has something that Wenger hasn't seen, it'll be interesting to see if he can develop.Yeah but he's not a good enough passer and when he played for England in midfield just gave the ball away all the time. It would be funny if he ended up being this seasons james Milner for them and ended up at left back.
Turns out West Brom were not joking when they said they wanted 28 Million for Chadli. Swansea expected it to drop to 20.
Swanses missed out on deadline day on Arias (club wanted 14 million although hes available in jan on a pre contract)
Swansea also missed out on some right back from bristol really late in the window hard name to spell.
Overall been an interesting window
Chelsea have had a shocker as have arsenal.

Can people stop buying into the media bullshit that Chelsea had a bad window. They didn't at all.

I have nothing against Danny Drinkwater, but I think he'll end up going nowhere at Chelsea. Reminds me of signings like Delph to City, Rodwell to City, Adam to Liverpool. That is, mid-career British players who look great for a smaller club, but for whatever reason can never replicate that when they move to a bigger club.
He'll only be a squad player once Bakayoko settles, but the difference between him and the examples you mention is that he;s got a brilliant partnership with one of their best players, Kante. In that sense it's a shrewd deal, he can slot in there, and play that defensive way both Conte and Leicester like, and launch quick counter attacks.I have nothing against Danny Drinkwater, but I think he'll end up going nowhere at Chelsea.
