Good player. If we are to shell out 25m it needs to be a player to genuinley rival one of lamela Eriksen or Alli

Always better to hear Poch thought it was too much rather then Levy

I found their defensive signing a bit strange, too.

Skrtel out to Turkey - poor lad.
Ragner something in for about the same money from Augsberg.

I don't know any of the context though. Skrtel's contract running out? Klopp worked with the new guy before? Just seems odd.

I think Klopp just realised what a number of Liverpool managers before him couldn't seem to see .... Skrtel is actually shit.

Liverpool are fucking awful at transfers.
  • They already have enough AMs
  • They still spend £25 million on one the was relegated last season
Even looking at some of the transfers they made in the past are pathetic
  • Bought Andy Carroll for £35 million
  • Bought Benteke for £32 million
  • Bought Mané for £30 million
  • Bought Lovren for £20 million
  • Bought Markovic for £19.5 million
They just spend massive sums of money on average players. I think they feel like they're still a top class team able to dish on money but considering they're not even in the Europa league they can't attract top class players.

Their transfers are just a joke. None of the players I listed should've been more than £20 million including Wijnaldum. o_O

Bought by Newcastle for around £15 million, got relegated on very patchy form, sold to Liverpool for £25 million.

That shit's fucking crazy.

I think he's better than people give him credit for. He was playing in a mess of a team last season, so it's understandable his form was patchy. That said he is so far off what Liverpool actually need as a matter of priority it's untrue.

I'd have liked him in our squad for south of 17 million... I think he has the attributes to be a really good player ...

Wow, what's all the obsession with Liverpool!!

they have a top manager in place and if they believe Jaffa cake is a cake and not a biscuit, I couldn't care less as long as poch has his Jaffa cake with hot cocoa!!

let the Liverpool transfer activities go!!! You guys are better than this.

Given Pochs view of the player and the abundance of AMs at Liverpool - could anyone see another enquiry going in for Lallana?

Mane is an exceptional player, not far off world class, would absolutely walk into our team

Doubt it.

Fair enough, just thought given that we are rumoured to be looking at an additional attacking player and that Poch rates him highly, I thought it could have been viable.

Not too bothered either way on Lallana though.

I have a weird love for Lallana as a footballer and was gutted when it was reported that we were interested and then he signed for Liverpool. Personally, I'd be ecstatic at signing him but I'm well aware that ships sailed.

Agree with Trix.

Also why do people think just because he got relegated with Newcastle he's a shit player.

He was one of the brightest players at Newcastle last season, relegated or not - scoring 11 goals in the PL. He could very well compete with Eriksen/Lamela/Alli in our team imo.

I love seeing Liverpool splash too much cash on certain players. I'd be so pissed if we spent £34m on Mane and £25m on Wijnaldum.

It's like Liverpool just like to sign well performing players from teams lower in the league now.

60mil on Mane and Wijnaldum wow fuck they're bonkers!

£25m is a lot of money - fine if he is the missing piece of the puzzle, but Liverpool have lots of strikers, wingers and AMs. Strange.

I don't normally care too much about the fees we pay but the club have been spot on with this one. If we took him at the price Newcastle bought him for then fair enough but for them to make any profit is just taking the piss. Decent player that will look better in a better team...if that makes sense.
