I have a feeling that people are using players' performances against Newcastle to say they've been shit the whole season. I've seen posts saying Eriksen, Kaboul, Capoue, Mason (?), Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli and Adebayor should be dropped. When, in actual fact, only 2 of them probably don't deserve to be in the team.

Capoue has been very good in several matches we've played and even if you think he hasn't been, suggesting Bentaleb is the answer is laughable. We don't have any better midfielders and if Bentaleb played, we'd have even more goals scored against us.

Well there's the problem right there! Bentaleb or Capoue?! Neither are good enough for top 4, or even to be knocking on the door of the top 4. Capoue is too immobile for me, far too easily teams pass it around him and our entire midfield. He doesn't offer us the screen that our defense so desperately needs.

I would like to see Stambouli given a run of games alongside Mason, as he'll give us more energy and legs, something we're lacking. If he doesn't even get to start in EL, then why on earth did we buy him? Blatantly to sell on in a season and make a small profit!

I do agree tho, on dropping Ade (3rd choice striker for me), and probably Lamela who I am desperate to see succeed, but he just doesn't do it for 90 mins, particularly defensivley. Kane should be starting each game too.

We're not the side we were anymore, far too many decent but not great players unfortunately.
