Wouldnt be my first choice as Id much prefer a player that can play across the front 3 (Nunez for me).

However, he looks decent and if Conte wants him then that is all that matters. Im guessing the difficult part of this deal will be convincing him of his playing time rather than fees etc.

You're not thinking this through, sign Scamacca and ANOTHER WINGER YESSSS MORE SIGNINGS

Scammcaa is most certainly a good shout. hes quite bad ass...literally. his dad and grand dad have been jailed for mob links and for some violent attacks but hes always been a scary looking dude who stayed outta trouble.
He distanced himself from his father's side of the family - he was brought up by his mother and in no way condone's the actions of his father and grandfather.

Rather interesting how he would fit into this team. Can you imagine Kane dropping and having the option to hit Sonny or Gianluca while also being able to play wide to Kuvu or Perisic who could then have multiple options to pass to? While he positionally is less flexible, him playing up front will create plenty of space for others leveraging their strengths. He is really an intriguing pick if he can make it in the Premier League.

Oh for sure! I knew that I am just saying that his dads side has quite the rep and with all his tat's he looks like a bad ass!

I spoke to my Italian friend and asked him who this Scamacca was.

And he said

Gian Scamacca. Who?
Hey.
Pay him some respect
What do you think he do?
He hit the back of the net
He's a cracking shot
Has a decent pace
Ah, shaddap you face

So there you go then.

I don't see why he wouldnt fit in the prem. Physicality is his game...those shouting for nunez...can he play outwide yes..but hes not going to be effective their nor does he play their often. Look at graziano pele and how well he did in england, scammca is very much that mold with a similar touch and playing style. When teams sit deep and we have possession and constant crosses, having an aerial threat as big as scamacc at 6'5 is going to cause the other team problems!

Would really like him to be honest. I think someone who can play as a striker and in the wide positions but who also has the physical attributes to really excel centrally especially is quite hard to find. The thing I like about having another out and out striker like this is that if Kane happens to be injured or we want to rest him, we could play someone without diminishing the physical presence in the front line.

Nope, just tidying up some threads now window is under way. There'll likely be a few more missing ones in next few days. If you see a thread you might expect but can't find one for that player, let me know and we'll make it :)

This being the case, a McKennie thread would be well timed!

The Times’ Gary Jacob mentioned we’d made recent enquiries in his Peresic piece the other day (which I now can’t seem to find).

That video made me feel sorry for the goalkeepers. The man is frightening

Something I’d noticed recently is that Alasdair Gold has very deliberately been saying that we’re looking for another ‘striker’. He was saying ‘forward’ a few weeks ago but now it’s striker.

In his latest video he also said if Bergwijn goes, we’d then look to bring another winger in, which seems to indicate the forward player we’re looking for isn’t a winger type. If you’re going proper striker, this is your man.

Ok now I’ll be disappointed if we don’t sign him because that needs to be heard!

Conte’s got a history of playing big target men like cf’s, I don’t know why so many are expecting some kind of versatile forward

So he gets more options to play and doesn’t get disheartened sitting on the bench while Kane and Son start the majority of Champions league and Prem matches.

Yeah I agree but I think people are projecting what they want rather than what is more likely, conte’s teams all have a big cf so logic would suggest that a target man style back up to kane is most likely

Also be nice to have him when Kane inevitably gets hurt either at the WC or shortly thereafter and has to miss a few months.

Would absolutely love Scamacca, would be an excellent option especially with 5 subs next season. I know we might want a more versatile forward as back up but I’m sure AG has said we would go for another winger if Bergwijn/Lucas were sold anyway. Conte loves a physical presence as an option
