too right mate.

Dos Santos would never ever come to Spurs from Barcelona - why would he???

I see the common sense here, but let's think back to when berba was signed.
he'd already been in a CL final, but nobody really knew much about him...
Once he came to Spurs, the truth is that his profile became way, way bigger...

Dos Santos would enjoy the same results so long as his performances had the same impact...

I said before that for the price, he's a bargain, but now that I think about it I'm not so sure. I really don't think he'd lock down a 1st team place here and I'm getting the feeling that is what he wants. I can't see a side with him and Modric in it playing that well in the EPL, especially with our defensive record.

A very good player Dos Santos is but I cannot see us getting both him and Capel. My heart hopes we get both hence making us an exciting team to watch aswell as giving us massive exposure all over Europe, but my head is saying that it aint gonna happen son!!!

Difference being, Dos Santos already plays for one of the best teams in Europe (despite their seasons finish) and is already recognised as one of the future stars of world football.

Berbatov was playing for a shyte team and was much older than Dos Santos.

Dos Santos is also currently playing at a team renowned for their youth academies. Therefore, I ask you again, WHY would Dos Santos move from Barceona to Tottenham??

It's not like he's being frozen out there or has a very slim chance of ever playing is it?

this says that he's arrived in london today to put the finishing touches on his move to us, but if so then i'm worried that we have yet to hear a thing.

i think capel is more willing to come to us than gio, but barca are more willing to sell than sevilla. on top of all this, it seems that the two transfers are unrelated.

i'm quite desperate now for us to get at least one of them, though both could work quite a treat too

Just listening to talk sport. Their 'expert' in Spain - not sure how reputable he is - seemed very sure that dos santos is all but done. he reckons that ramos basically said to dos santos in january 'come and join me at spurs in the sumemr'. This guy actually sounded like he was well up with spanish goings on.

On a side note he also thought it quite possible that Capel could also be on his way. He talked about the release clause as if it applies to English teams too.
(I do apologise to mods if this bit shouldnt be in here, but i'm a bit new to this game!)

Yup. Graham Hunter - VERY reliable source said this :

Apparently, hands have been shaken by Dos Santos, Barca and Spurs - four year deal...Graham Hunter on some Irish radio show and confirmed on Talksport.

Hunter on TalkSport saying Pini Zhavi doing the deal. Ramos personally phoned Dos Santos in January which convinced him to come to Spurs. They agreed a first buy option with Barcelona.

Hunter then confirmed this is NOT a rumour.
