Somehow I was sure that we won't get him, cos it just sounds too good to be true. But if we manage to get him then I will piss honey for next month.

glad you said that, someone had to and it brings to the fore the problems that could surround bringing a player like this to the Lane - aside from hissPAMSPAMSPAMSPAMSPAM!

So he's off to managerless Chelski after all then, maybe Riijkaard is taking over then it would make sense.

Why are we asuming that hes already joined Chelsea. There has only been one article linking him to Chelsea compared to 100 that say he coming to us

Fixxer on FTL posted the same article, and the same quotes from the sun back in september last year...

As I said earlier in this thread, I'll only believe it when I see him holding up our shirt on our website!!!

It just seemed too good to be true from the offset

they may have been 100 articles about him coming to us but not one had any quotes. I would prefer to have one article with quotes from the play about us then 1 article copy pasted on 100 other stories. Not loking good

Shirts and press conferences are meaningless. The only thing you can and should ever trust is La Stampo del Stoof. In fact, I didn't believe my son was born until Stamp had returned his birth cert with the "stamp". And that took until my son was nearly 8 months old. It was a very strange scene at my house to say the least.

Surely a "tranfer done" stamp would be more appropriate upon completion of conception?

It seems from reading above posts a lot have written Lennon off... what a shame.

Personally I still believe theirs a lot to come from the boy he isn't the finished article yet and if/when he improves his goal scoring ratio before (IMO) delivery he'd have stepped up a level.

I reckon people should give him more time to develop that side of his game and not be too quick to write him off. Having come back from his first major injury the future is still bright for Aaron Lennon.

Chav$kum have been following him for 4 years apparently, but he likes Ramos and spoke with him in January, with a good outcome. Everyone will want this kid, but he will want a chance to grow at a club who can offer him 1st team action, which Chav$kum have not done for SWP, Anelka and many others who are top of their game.

Fingers crossed he can see we need someone to inherit the left flank, with respect to Steed. Ginola was the last great player we had there, and nobody left-footed since flippin' Etherington. We need balance and he certainly beats signing N'Zogbia! Mind you Capel could be the answer!

Chelsea trying everything they can to hijack the deal :

From Jasper on SO

Hi guys,
Please remember my caution statement in previous threads.
Spoke to my biz partner, here are his words: I'm being told that your friends in England seems to have little regard for money, because they are baggering Pino to accept money no object, and it is dreamingly tempting, I believe to be chevski...How can you handle these guys, they don't have much friends...Will money speak, time will only tell...dirty, and desperate tricks being used...

PS: Anyone any idea who Pino is?

Pino is the agent of Dos Santos, who has VERY close ties with Chelsea, too.

He went on :

Just been told also that its up to the player himself re the two, he is persuaded 'to Tottenham' but very difficult because of the very lucrative incentives...I UNDERSTAND THAT HE GAVE HIS WORD TO TOTTENHAM, BUT NOW THIS MAY BE DIFFERENT...NO, HE HASN'T SIGNED FROM 2 HOURS AGO ANYWAY...

Looks like Arnesen is trying his best.
