I actually feel kinda sorry for the lad now. He must feel he wasting his career now. He really needs to get some playing time in and join a new club. There is talent in there somewhere I just think he should be playing in Spain not England.

I just can't understand why Dos Santos hasnt been given a real chance IMO... people go on about Hazard but in Dos we have a potential star, if we're not gonna use him its best we move him on for the players sake.

From what I saw of Hazard vs England Dos Santos is twice the player.

Holy crap that goal he just scored was a beaut.

i know ive been moaned at for still believing this guy has got it but here it goes anyway...

he gets no chances whatsoever through the whole season at spurs

goes to the end of the season and this year has so far scored 2 in 2 for mexico one of which was an absolute demon against brazil AND he won a pen and tormented the defence

Last year he basically wont he gold cup for them against USA

year before that he got runner up young player in the world cup

SERIOUSLY - WHAT DOES DOS SANTOS HAVE TO DO TO GET A CHANCE?!

We have this debate almost every time he plays an international game.

It's a shame; I used to be one of Gio's biggest supporters. Now I've accepted that with Redknapp in charge he won't get a chance. Hope we either get a new manager or get big money for Gio.

A mishit cross that goes in and a dive for a penalty and now he's better than Hazard. Please people, get a grip. There's a reason why he's still playing in the reserves, he's not good enough for us and he's not good enough for other clubs to spend decent money on.

Maybe he was just never that good and was living off one highlight reel hattrick for Barca against 3rd opposition and flattering to deceive at international level playing against yet more substandard competition

I agree the English league perhaps makes him seem worse as his style is not suited but I don't think he is anywhere near as good as Veron was and I think the fact he played for Barca created a false hype.
He scored against Brasil yesterday?

Yea in a friendly game that Mexico won 2-0. Looked like a lucky goal that went in when he was attempting a cross to me but regardless a goal is a goal against one of the worlds top teams

Hopefully this will create some more false hype and we will be able to mug some Spanish team off with him like Barca mugged us off

anyone else think with the new manager he might finally get a chance?

i still think levy was reluctant to sell him as he knew there was potential, just that it wouldnt be used rightly under harry. maybe he was waiting for the new manager all along

Certainly. I have a feeling he'd do well as the right winger in AvB's 4-3-3. And we all know Martinez wanted/wants him at wigan, so he'd probably have a chance under him if he (god forbid) becomes our manager.

I find it both funny and a bit depressing that Gio has outlasted 'Arry at THFC.

If AVB comes here and plays the 4-3-3, Gio actually is the best option as an inverted right winger on our roster. I know. I'm shocked too. But he has talent, and maybe all it takes is a new manager and a new system.

It' worth remembering that Harry has said that in the past his attitude stunk. He did fantastic at Ipswich under Keane and great in Spain but crap in Turkey. I think with him the chemistry with the Coach seems to be a big deal. If he could hit it off with AVB he could be huge for us but he would need to be prepared to defend.

Dos Santos Atlético?
Striker Giovani dos Santos could accumulate again in the next season in Spain. But not for Racing Santander, while the 23-year-old Mexican was borrowed in the last season for Tottenham, but for Atletico madrid. According to ESPN,'''' The two parties are in negotiations. Dos Santos is still bound by 2013 the Spurs want to leave the club but after he arrived there only a few uses and was loaned out again.
