I think the most significant stat there is the assists table.

Oh what a difference Adebayor makes, even half fit his movement and intelligence puts DefoePavCrouch to shame.

Bloody hell, good effort mate!!

Only thing is I'd have preferred to see the EL separated out from the PL rather than the totals combined as the EL is the largely the equivalent of playing League 2 sides every week, so assists, goals and clean-sheets in the EL shouldn't be counted as equivalent to the same in the PL.

Yeah, been thinking about that. I could seperate those competitions, but as the season goes on the Europa League games become a much smaller fraction of the games played.

since when is Rafael Van Der Vaart a forward ?

what difference does it make? he's an attacking midfielder/second striker. Could go either way.

Didn't he start in our draw with Newcastle ?

came off injured though after 30mins . We would have won had he stayed on

King has 80% win ratio after our draw with Newcastle. Fantastic effort mate. Great thread.

I only count it as a game when a player plays 45 minutes or more. Like tRiKS says, he only played 30 minutes so doesn't count.

Thanks though for all the suggestions and if you see something that doesn't look right, let me know.

Fair play. Probably a better system.

At least our forward players seem to be doing the business so far which is good. I'd hope to see Bale and Modric close the gap a little bit. Would be great to have 5 players inside 135minutes (match and a half) for either a goal or assist.

I could add those stats to my table but I think it would be very cluttered.

You can see the minutes played on this page of my site...

Tottenham Hotspur Season 2011-12 Minutes Played

So for our front three in the PL only:

Ade: Goal every 177 minutes, assist every 133 minutes
VdV: Goal every 100 minutes, assist every 250 minutes
Defoe: Goal every 139 minutes, assist every 418 minutes

On this incredibly limited data set, and therefore almost pointlessly we can calculate over a season's worth of games:

Ade: 19 Goals and 26 assists
VdV: 34 Goals and 14 assists
Defoe: 27 Goals and 8 assists

That's 80 goals from our forwards alone!

I propose a front three Eek

I'm not serious

It's not really that crazy an idea, especially if Bale picks up an injury and is forced out. Teams on the continent often play with three midfielders, one in the hole and 2 up front. Considering Adebayor likes to drift into the channels, VDV floats around and Walker and Benny both get forward well I doubt we'd lose too much width.

Friedel

Walker------Kaboul------King------BAE

Parker----Sandro---Modric

VDV

Defoe----Adebayor

That could certainly work and that midfield three would absolutely dominate everything in site.

Well there you have it - I'm a tactical genius and I don't even know it.

I quite want to see that now. Given that along with those 80 goals, they would provide more than half the assists themselves, you'd only need Modders and Walker to provide another 10 each and you'd be getting there... (again - I'm aware it doesn't quite work like this!)

Arguably an option if BAE is was injured as well with Bale at the back?

I guess, although I'd trust Rose more than Bale defensively. Two defensively weak fullbacks might be a bit much even with the brick wall of Sandro and Parker covering and with King in the backline.
